The Quarters of the Captain There are floor to ceiling windows that look out onto the Dockside Patio and the Alexandria Waterfront, making it a private room with a view of the Alexandria Waterfront. Several recycled and repaired chairs have been used to decorate the space, which includes three rectangular farmhouse dining tables. The white painted cedar-wrapped walls serve as an ideal backdrop for the nautical art on show, and the rich chocolate wood flooring creates a striking contrast against the white painted cedar-wrapped walls. The abundance of natural light streaming into the area, as well as strands of Edison lights strung over the tables, conjures up visions of a garden patio party, complete with fresh flowers adorning each table. Crow's Nest is a type of nest where crows live. Beautiful views of the Potomac River and a birds-eye view of the entire restaurant are available from the Crow's Nest, which is positioned high above the main floor of The Crow's Nest. Among the many amenities are a fully stocked bar, comfortable leather sectional sofas, and numerous dining tables scattered throughout the space. Both business and social receptions will benefit from this design feature! It's the Bridge, you know.. The Bridge, which overlooks the docks at the Waterfront, is a semi-private venue with seating for up to 50 people for a seated event. Ismail and Betul Uslu are the owners of Agora DC and Agora Tysons, which are both family-owned and operated. Ismail worked tirelessly for three years, devoting his time and energy to improving every aspect of Agora. In 2008, he made the decision to take a leap of faith and purchase the entire company, Agora DC. As of 2016, Betul had decided to leave her banking career to devote her full attention to her roles at Agora DC and Agora Tysons. Betul specializes in private events, whereas Ismail is more focused on restaurant operations and bringing the essence and soul of the places he works by bringing his Turkish culture and hospitality to the United States and Canada. Ismet Sahin, the Executive Chef, was born and raised in Marmaris, Turkey, and he introduces us to the country's diverse cuisine and gastronomy. Ismet Chef hails from the same region of Turkey as Ismail Uslu, and the energy at Agora is a perfect match for their personalities and styles. He began his career at Agora DC and, as his career progressed, he assumed responsibility for both Agora's DC and Tysons. Ismet's various ventures in Turkey, including his work with chefs at five-star hotels, have added a great deal of flavor to Agora and expanded the variety of food options available. In the heart of the bustling Dupont Circle neighborhood, Agora D.C., a family-owned Mediterranean Mezze Restaurant, offers aromatic elements and textures inspired by the rich culinary traditions of Turkey, blended with flavors from Greece and Lebanon. Executive Chef Ismet Sahin, a native of southern Turkey, focuses on delivering the familiarity of traditional Turkish cuisine with a modern twist inspired by seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and international spices, according to the chef. The restaurant also serves a complimentary, award-winning selection of local and Mediterranean wines and beers, as well as handcrafted cocktails such as the Lion's Milk, which is a special drink made with the beloved Turkish spirit, Raki. Take a seat at our table with your friends, family, or significant other for a dining experience that will transport you to the heart of the Mediterranean.

Above all, City Tap House DC's goal is to see their food and craft beer enhance your special event and ensure it is one your guests will love. For City Tap House DC, craft is everything. “Craft” is most often defined as doing things by hand. For City Tap House DC, craft is complex, innovative beers. Craft is food that inspires and surprises the palate. Craft is service that delights and exceeds expectations. Most importantly, craft means championing love and integrity in every aspect of what they do. From India Pale to Berliner Weisse, Fruited Wheats to Barrel-Aged Stouts, the world of craft beer is rich with variety and innovation. With so much beer to try, entering this world can feel overwhelming. Throw in jargon like “hoppy-ness,” “cask-conditioned,” and “brettanomyces” — it’s easy to drown in the vocabulary of craft beer alone! But that’s why City Tap House DC is here: to make craft beer accessible to all. In City Tap House DC's kitchen, craft comes first. Like beer slowly fermenting in a tank, their food is prepared with equal parts precision and patience. Lead by Executive Chef, Ian Branning our menu blends personal expertise with regional traditions to make something daring and refreshing.

The Woodrow Wilson House is located in Washington, DC. This historic landmark and National Trust for Historic Preservation site first opened its doors to the public as a museum in 1963. It is now a museum dedicated to President Woodrow Wilson's life and presidency. As stewards of this House, we take our responsibilities seriously. In trying to learn from regressive policies that institutionalized racism and segregation as well as the loss and obstruction of civil liberties, we share Wilson's legacy, which includes the First World War, the League of Nations, and his vision for world peace. As historians, preservationists, and educators, we are committed to sharing the truth about history, even when it is not complimentary to the subjects of the history being discussed. An accurate assessment of history aids in our understanding of ourselves as a nation and as individuals. The timeless home of our 28th President, which has been meticulously restored to its 1920s splendor, provides an unforgettable backdrop for your special event or celebration. Throughout the house, marvellous architectural details and over 8,000 one-of-a-kind historical artifacts lend a distinct charm to the interior, while the expansive garden space serves as a blank canvas for guests to personalize. It's never looked better than it does right now. In recent years, speakeasies have received a great deal of attention, but there is another era of bars in America that sent young people scrambling to find a random door covered in stickers and illuminated by an ominous pink glow, known as The Underground Rave. It was not uncommon in the late twentieth century to arrive at a party by walking down an alley, past a loading dock, and entering the party through the kitchen. There were lots of neon, lots of bright colors, and lots of black lights. Because there was no craft movement at the time, people drank trashy mixed drinks like Cosmos, Long Island Iced Teas, and "the blue one," which were popular at the time. Those were the days, and we at Never Looked Better miss them, but we wanted to bring that feeling into the modern era. Drinks like Dirty Vodka Martinis made with homemade brine and fresh olives that are stuffed with soft blue cheese on a daily basis, a pink Cosmo made with Old Tom gin, fresh berry juice, and freshly squeezed lemon, and of course a silky Espresso Martini made with premium coffee liqueur and custom cold brew are all available. If that's something you're interested in, you can find us at 130 Blagden Alley in the heart of downtown. However, you must first pass through the kitchen to get to the door with the stickers on it and the bright red glow.
