The Venetian Pool is unlike any other swimming pool in the country. The pool was built from a coral rock quarry in 1923, and much of the original coral rock was used to border and emphasize the pool. It also has two big medieval lookout towers offering panoramic views of the city. The spring water from an underground aquifer is used to fill the 820,000 gallon pool. The pool is filled and emptied on a daily basis during the spring and summer seasons! The aquifer, of course, isn't the only thing that improves a visitor's experience.
