From the sloping hillside you have a great view of downtown, Lake Union, the I-5 freeway and Capitol Hill. The park is furnished with benches, a bike rack and a drinking fountain in case you want to stay and gaze a while. It's a great place to watch the July 4th fireworks. From the upper part of the park, you can walk down the steep, ivied hill - passing azaleas, rhododendrons, and more surprise views - to a patch of grass with a play area for kids and a pergola for parents. Located on the peaceful shores of Lake Washington with the Olympic Mountains as a backdrop, the Woodmark Hotel & Still Spa is an independent boutique hotel with a central location. Visitors can unwind and rejuvenate at our newly renovated spa, reconnect with nature on a lakeside bike ride or morning kayak adventure, and indulge in locally inspired cuisine at one of our two waterfront restaurants, all of which are located on the property. Hazard Factory Outlet is a 3000 sq ft warehouse space we use for team building events and art shows. The outlet is managed by Hazard Factory, an industrial arts studio. The Outlet has 22 foot ceilings, a 20 by 30 movie screen, couches and a bar. It is very easy to load in and load out and parking is always available. We keep 200 chairs and 12 eight foot tables for our clients. This is a good space for pop-ups, birthday parties and presentations, or just to get people together for a movie night. It is low key.

The space was previously a grunge-era recording studio/rehearsal space with tenants including Nirvana in the late 1980s / early 1990s. Blue Ribbon’s remarkable team is lead by husband and wife duo Adam & Vanessa Smith. Vanessa was raised in Blue Ribbon’s kitchen and quickly realized she shared her mother’s passion for culinary focused events. In 2008 Vanessa took over management of the cooking school from her family (Virginia & Mike Duppenthaler) and built out the full-service catering and event design side of the company. Vanessa has been recognized for her savvy business skills, dedication to community involvement and the success of her business by winning the Nellie Cashman Women Owned Business of the Year Award and being named on PSBJ’s 40 under 40 list. Adam was raised in the orcharding industry and brings a deeply ingrained hard work ethic and strive for perfection. Adam found his way to the kitchen while in art school and instantly knew this is where he would spend his career. Adam appreciates the endless opportunity he finds in the kitchen to use his artistic eye while working with beautiful northwest ingredients. He is always developing new skills and techniques and appreciates the instant connection found when culinary professionals chat about food.
