Kilohana Plantation is a historic sugar plantation estate on the island of Kauai, set on expansive grounds in Lihue with views of the surrounding tropical gardens and Mt. Waialeale in the distance. The centerpiece of the estate is a 1930s plantation manor that once served as the private home of Gaylord Wilcox, manager of Grove Farm Plantation — a working agricultural operation that spanned 23,000 acres. Today the estate operates as a living landmark, with the manor house and its surrounding grounds available for weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, anniversary celebrations, and corporate events. Tradewind Charters has operated sailing and power charters out of Kewalo Basin harbor in Honolulu since 1985, when founder Captain Ken sailed his own sloop from Seattle to Hawaii to establish the company.
