The New York Hall of Science is a science museum located in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in the New York City borough of Queens, in the area of the park known as Corona. The museum is open to the public on weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is housed in one of the few remaining structures from the 1964 New York World's Fair and serves as New York City's sole hands-on science and technology center, according to the organization. The more than 400 hands-on displays at this museum address biology, chemistry, and physics concepts and principles. Whether it's a wedding, bar or bat mitzvah, or retirement party, we provide the flexibility you need to make your event one to remember for a lifetime. After completing a $25 million makeover, our historic Great Hall is now included among our available spaces, looking as magnificent as it did during the 1964 World's Fair, when it was conceived by renowned architect Wallace Harrison and built by the city of Chicago. This oval-shaped chamber, which is surrounded by white walls, serves as your own canvas. The Viscusi, a 4,000-square-foot gallery space, offers plenty of room for creativity and customisation during your session. During the warmer months, the Terrace is the ideal location for your outdoor party. The Terrace, with its approximately 10,000 square feet of area, may be arranged to meet your specific requirements. The Central Pavilion, which has over 250 hands-on exhibits, serves as an inviting event background for up to 1,000 people for cocktail receptions. Our playground is ideal for both bar and bat mitzvahs as well as birthday celebrations, and it provides a lovely photo background in addition to hours of entertainment.

Only 12 miles from Manhattan, we offer a versatile two-story event space with large and small rooms, gabled windows, decorative fireplaces and an outdoor garden setting that can be used separately or together to accommodate groups from 20 to 300 guests. The Woman’s Club, set in a lovely residential neighborhood, caters to a wide variety of events, including social functions (weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, children parties, baby showers, anniversary parties), corporate events (training meetings, dinner receptions, team building, workshops.), as well as non-profit events and a recital/performance space. Funds from these rentals help provide the capital for our philanthropic donations. Built in 1928, with a weathered stone exterior and gabled roof, the Woman’s Club of Ridgewood was constructed in the style of a fine Dutch colonial home. It was designed by New York architect George Koyl.

The Locanda Verde private dining room is a pleasant and versatile environment meant to provide a relaxing and transportive atmosphere. It has recycled New England oak and pine, a working stone fireplace, brick-lined arched windows, and an eye-catching ceiling inlay made of 90,000 wine corks. Our seasonal Italian menus are designed to be shared and served family-style. Our sommelier is on hand to help you navigate our Italian wine and spirits range. A dedicated service staff is also available, as well as a zinc-topped bar. Up to 60 people can be seated in the room, making it ideal for your next private dinner, brunch, breakfast, or business conference. Chef Andrew Carmellini's soul-satisfying urban Italian food is served at Locanda Verde, our TriBeCa neighborhood taverna. Since 2009, our busy corner restaurant has welcomed New Yorkers morning, noon, and night with a warm and inviting ambiance, a leisurely Italian style, and heartfelt cooking. Andrew Carmellini's food is both rustic and polished, soulful and savory. It's a look that reflects his Italian origins and American roots, as well as his work in some of the world's top fine dining restaurants and trips. Andrew is regarded outside of the culinary world as a hit-maker who blends relevant culinary culture with urban social eating situations. His restaurants are regarded as breaking the barrier between great dining and good times. The Woodlea Clubhouse was once a Vanderbilt Mansion that was constructed in 1892 and held by Colonel Elliot Fitch Shephard. Colonel Shephard was the founder of the New York Bar Association as well as the proprietor of the journal Mail and Express. 1910 saw the purchase of the mansion by Frank Vanderlip and William Rockefeller. The following year, 1911, saw the establishment of the Sleepy Hollow Country Club by a board of directors that included John Jacob Astor IV, Cornelius Vanderbilt III, Edward Julius Berwind, and a number of other notable individuals. The Sleepy Hollow Country Club has seen several improvements and transformations throughout the course of its history, propelling it to the position of being one of the best-rated golf courses and country clubs not only in New York, but also in the United States. We provide a sophisticated location for events such as weddings, family get-togethers, holiday parties, and business meetings. In addition, we host corporate outings that include activities such as golf, tennis, and swimming. When it comes to supper and dance, our Club House can host up to 240 guests. Between the middle of April and the end of October, our West Terrace Tent can comfortably host up to 400 guests (Heating and cooling available through an outside vendor at an additional cost).
