Cacapon Resort State Park spreads across more than 6,000 acres in the shadow of a folded mountain ridge in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle, and two very different buildings anchor it. The Old Inn was the first lodge built in the West Virginia state parks and forests system, and it still wears that history in its hand-hewn log beams and tongue-and-groove walls of wormy chestnut and knotty pine; twelve bedrooms and a single large gathering space host groups and reunions of up to 32. At the foot of Cacapon Mountain stands the system's newest lodge, a 120-room building with indoor and outdoor dining, a full spa, and views of the golf course. For events, the resort sets aside 11,931 square feet of conference space in rooms that range from an 18-seat boardroom to a hall seating 200 for a banquet, backed by on-site audio-visual equipment and event-planning assistance for weddings and reunions. Surrounding it all are a Robert Trent Jones Sr. golf course laid out in 1974, the Healing Waters Spa, two stocked fishing lakes, and a swimming beach, a deep bench of activities for guests with time between events.

Williams Country Club
1000 Williams Dr, Weirton, WV 26062, USA- Spaces for 150-250 Guests
- 1 Ballroom
- 1 Country Club
- 1 Historic Space
Sandstone barged up the Ohio River from Isabella, Pennsylvania went into the clubhouse that has stood above Weirton since 1932 — a one-of-a-kind stone building from the depths of the Great Depression, when Weirton Steel bought the 150 acres of bluff it sits on. Williams Golf and Country Club grew from a nine-hole course, laid out by Emil 'Dutch' Loeffler and John McGlynn, into the par-72, 18-hole layout that has since hosted the USGA, the West Virginia Golf Association, the Tri-State PGA, and three West Virginia Opens. Celebrations here trace back nearly as far: a 1937 wedding on the front lawn of the club's stone Lodge once made the pages of Time. Today the Grand Ballroom carries that thread indoors, its hardwood floors and neutral decor accented with Swarovski crystals, while lawns overlooking the river and course serve as ceremony sites. The club hosts weddings, banquets, corporate gatherings, wine tastings, and themed dinners for as many as 200 guests, with plated menus from the executive chef's kitchen.

1 S Stone St, Wheeling, WV 26003, USA- Spaces for 600 Guests

Weddings get their own lane. A range of West Virginia wedding packages can be shaped around each couple's vision for a distinctive casino wedding. Much of the appeal is what surrounds the celebration: guests can step away to slots, table games, and poker, follow the greyhound racing and sportsbook, or settle into one of the hotel's rooms and suites without leaving the grounds. Banquet and catering service ties it together for events that want dining, entertainment, and overnight stays in a single place.

Canaan Valley Resort State Park occupies a mountain valley near Davis, West Virginia, where a year-round lodge sits amid ski terrain, hiking and biking trails, and a championship golf course. More than 25,000 square feet of function space spans a dozen rooms, from small private meeting rooms to two large reception venues — Bear Paw Lodge and the Pavilion — that each seat several hundred guests for banquets and weddings. Floor plans reconfigure for theater-style, classroom, banquet, or standing-reception layouts, and a culinary team handles catering and full-service banquets while a conference-services team supports planning. Complimentary high-speed internet reaches the meeting rooms. On-site lodging keeps groups together, from a 160-room lodge to cabins and cottages around the property.

- 3 Outdoor Spaces
- 3 Parks
High on a hilltop in Marshall County, West Virginia, Grand Vue Park looks out across the Ohio Valley, where rolling hills and rivers fill the view below. It is a recreational park that opens its grounds to weddings, banquets, and gatherings of every kind, and much of its welcome comes from the setting itself. Guests find a choice of indoor and open-air settings. The Banquet Hall is a customizable room framed by wooden beams, with an adjoining patio just outside — an easy fit for wedding receptions and milestone celebrations. Beyond it, the Overlook Terrace sets ceremonies against the valley below, and a courtyard offers another spot to exchange vows in the open air. For reunions, graduation parties, and cookouts, a collection of shelters hosts groups from a few dozen up to 200, several with grills, a kitchen, and the same long view over the valley. There is plenty to keep a celebration going once the toasts are done. Ziplines and aerial courses, swimming pools, hiking trails, disc golf, and mini golf spread across the park, while cabins, treetop villas, and an RV park give guests a place to stay — turning a wedding or family reunion into a whole weekend rather than a single afternoon.

Capitol Theatre Ballroom
1015 Main St, Wheeling, WV 26003, USA- Spaces for 250 Guests
The Capitol Theatre Ballroom sits on the second floor of the Capitol Theatre, a Beaux-Arts building that opened in downtown Wheeling, West Virginia, in 1928. The room was never meant to be a ballroom. It was built as the lobby for an eight-story hotel planned above the theatre, and its foundation and massive steel beams were engineered to carry those eight additional stories. The hotel never went up. The ballroom is built to reconfigure — theatre style, classroom style, board style, u-shape, hollow square, whatever an event calls for. A permanent stage carries built-in audio and projection. Elevator or stairs reach it. Since the theatre reopened in 2009, the room has drawn national touring musicians for intimate concerts, comedians, and speaking engagements with U.S. political leaders. It also hosts wedding receptions and other private events. Two more spaces round out the theatre: the Lobby, suited to press conferences and small receptions, and the Beaux-Arts Mezzanine, reached by the grand staircases and set for cocktail receptions and intimate dinners.

A signature wedding takes the estate exclusively for up to 150 guests; a pavilion tent handles receptions of up to 80; and the Main House dining room seats up to 50 for a plated meal indoors. Elopements and micro-weddings get their own setting in the Hidden Cottage, sized for parties of two to eight. Ceremonies can move around the grounds, from a bridge over Bullskin Creek to a round garden terrace or the terrace fountain. Catering is handled in-house, with executive chef Tom O'Hara's farm-focused menus offered plated, buffet, or cocktail-style, plus a post-wedding brunch the morning after.

Misty Mountain Event Barn
49 Misty Mountain Rd, Fisher, WV 26818, USA- Spaces for 200 Guests
- 1 Barn
- 1 Farm
We were delighted when our daughter, Kellan, got engaged in 2011. It had always been her dream to have her wedding on our farm, and we wanted to make that dream a reality for her. So that's how it started... We seeded and mowed the pasture on a consistent basis throughout 2012. Tents were erected. We rented everything from chairs and tables to linens, porta-potties, generators, and flood lights. We constructed a wedding arch, brought in a cattle trailer load of mums, and spent weeks decorating and preparing the venue for the big event. It was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful! We were all exhausted by the time the wedding day arrived. We also realized that we would have to dismantle everything, return the rentals, and clean up the following day, which added to our stress. It was at this point that the concept of an event venue was conceived. The following six years, every time my wife and I would attend a wedding at a venue, we would say, "I think we could do this." Everyone's favorite venue was different and beautiful in its own way. In fact, we even made mental notes of all the things we liked best about each venue; however, the idea didn't become a reality until Lydia, our "daughter," tied the knot in February 2018. "Let's do this," we said as we walked away. As a result, the planning process began in March of 2018. Construction finally started in October of last year. The team jumped on board with our builder and worked together to create what is now a beautiful 6000 sq. ft. main event barn that is both heated and air-conditioned. A full-service commercial kitchen, ADA-compliant bathrooms, and a loft with couple's suites are all included in the rental price. In addition, there is a covered veranda with casual seating, a patio/fire pit area, an elegant outdoor wedding ceremony setting complete with seating and fireplaces, a pond and fountains for photos, a gazebo for sheltering from the elements, and ample parking. So, at long last, our dream of providing a space for you to realize your ambitions has become a reality. Wedding packages include access to the venue on the day before and the day of your wedding, as well as on the day of your reception. At no additional charge, a rehearsal dinner can be held in the ballroom.

The grounds, which are only 90 minutes from Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, contain rolling grasslands, stunning azure ponds, and woodlands that are watered by natural springs, among other features. There is a lovely reminder of the farm's rich cultural and social heritage in the mansion, gala barn, and a picturesque collection of outbuildings. Awarded the National Register of Historic Places status in 2018 for its historic and architectural value, Wild Goose Farm is a working farm that dates back to the early nineteenth century. a little bit about our barn Our Pennsylvania bank barn was initially built in 1840 and is still in use today. Recently completed modifications on the lower level of the barn were finished in August of this year. To provide year-round comfort, the top and lower levels have been completely heated and air-conditioned. A total of 3250 square feet of open beamed area is available on the upper level, which may be customized for any occasion. An expansive and comfortable changing area for the bride and groom, as well as huge men's and women's toilets, as well as a catering kitchen and a spacious seating area with bistro settings, are all located on the lower floor. A great deal of thought went into the lower level restorations so that the historic qualities of the barn could be preserved while presenting guests with a festive atmosphere that was both comfortable and elegant. Private and secluded is the perfect description of the setting. Perfect for weddings, special anniversaries, reunions, birthdays, corporate retreats, concerts, and art exhibits, as well as concerts and art exhibits. The opportunities for beginning, renewing, imagining, motivating, and challenging oneself are virtually limitless. And they can get their start right here at Wild Goose...

- 5 Outdoor Spaces
- 1 Theater
- 7 Total Spaces
North Bend State Park spreads across the rolling hills of West Virginia's Mid-Ohio Valley and takes its name from the horseshoe curve of the North Fork of the Hughes River. For groups, it works as a set of connected indoor and outdoor spaces. Meetings, retreats, and banquets settle into the lodge's two conference rooms — the Hughes Room and the Douglass Room, together 1,988 square feet of meeting space — with the full-service, 80-seat restaurant close at hand for meals between sessions. Larger gatherings move outdoors, where four event shelters and an open-air amphitheater are set out on the surrounding lawns. North Bend pairs them on purpose, suggesting the amphitheater be booked alongside Shelter #3 so an outdoor ceremony has a covered space nearby for the reception — and for cover if the weather turns. When the day winds down, guests stay on: 29 lodge rooms, nine cabins, and campground sites keep a wedding party or reunion together overnight, with miles of hiking trails and the 72-mile North Bend Rail Trail running out from the same grounds.

4T Arena
3854 Corbin Branch Rd, Bridgeport, WV 26330, USA- Spaces for 400 Guests
Weddings are the heart of what happens at 4T Arena, where couples exchange vows outdoors across open fields — with an indoor ceremony space held in reserve should the weather turn — before gathering under one roof for the reception. Over the years the venue has hosted hundreds of celebrations, many for families who return to mark one special occasion after another. The setting is a family-owned working horse farm run by Jeff and Mary Ann Tucker, spread across 100 acres of fields and streams in Bridgeport, West Virginia, minutes from the CKB airport and area hotels yet firmly in the countryside. Its indoor venue runs more than 14,000 square feet, with room for guest seating, a dance area, dessert and favor displays, and vendor staging all in one place. 4T Arena treats a wedding as an all-inclusive service rather than a room for rent. A single package folds in planning meetings, a day-of coordinator, catering, tables and linens, and access to the venue's own decorations — all with no hidden fees or last-minute charges.
