  Set on 42 acres in Virginia's Piedmont wine country, The Inn at Willow Grove centers on a manor house built in 1778 by surveyor Joseph Clark and later expanded with brick additions and Jeffersonian columns by craftsmen who also worked for Thomas Jefferson. The estate carries a Civil War history, with trenches and gun emplacements once dug near the house and a cannonball still lodged in its eaves. Discovered by owner David Scibal in 2008 and renovated over two years, the property today blends historic preservation with an urban-meets-rustic aesthetic across 25 individually designed rooms and suites. For weddings and private events, the estate offers 6,400 square feet of combined indoor-outdoor space across The Barn, with its reclaimed wood ceilings, Palladian windows, and stone fireplace, and the adjoining open-air Ruins, framed by rebuilt stone foundations and covered by a custom tent with string lighting. Our famed Georgian Mansion is nestled in over 121 acres of lawn and forest, close to Warrenton and only an hour drive from Washington, DC, with restored period features and illustrious past and charm.   The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley sits on 214 acres in Winchester, Virginia, making it the largest green space in the city and pairing a 50,000-square-foot museum building — designed by architect Michael Graves — with the historic Glen Burnie House and six acres of formal gardens. Glen Burnie House, built in 1794, was transformed into a refined home by Julian Wood Glass Jr. and R. Lee Taylor beginning in the 1950s before the museum itself opened in 2005 to share their collection with the public. For private events, the museum offers a range of indoor and outdoor spaces suited to gatherings of different sizes and styles. The beautifully renovated Glen Burnie House, with its formal Drawing Room, Library, and adjacent Terrace, suits an intimate dinner or cocktail reception, with access extended to the surrounding garden rooms.   Long Branch Historic House and Farm is a circa-1811 manor house set on 400 acres of Virginia countryside in Boyce, at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Clarke County — about an hour and a half from Washington, D.C. and fifteen minutes from Berryville and Winchester. The nonprofit property doubles as a working horse retirement farm, and its gardens, lawns, and historic rooms are used for weddings, private parties, and community gatherings throughout the year. For ceremonies, couples can choose between the Sheila Macqueen Garden, which accommodates around 125 guests, or the more intimate Rose Garden, which holds about 25. Indoors, the mansion's East Gallery seats up to 75 for a smaller wedding or reception, with a 40-by-100-foot tent pad available on the grounds for larger seated events. Because of its beautiful rolling fields, elegant lawns, and lovely English gardens, Bel Air 1740 is a beautiful venue for indoor and outdoor receptions, pictures, and ceremonies. It also has a new Wedding Barn for ceremonies and receptions. The 7000 square foot climate controlled wedding barn has a capacity of 150 guests (with a permit, it may accommodate up to 200+ guests). A wheelchair accessible facility on a single level has been constructed.
