Later, I made my way into the New York City restaurant industry, where I worked as a pastry chef at the Russian Tea Room. I was awarded two gold medals by the Societe Culinaire Philanthropique's Salon of Culinary Art for my work in the kitchen. Having worked at places such as the Glen Oaks Country Club, City Hall, La Grenouille, and Gascogne Bistro, I decided to branch out and open my own restaurant on Staten Island in 2007. Over the course of seven years, the Alor Cafe has evolved into a fine dining and music venue. Today, I am the proud father of three children, and I live in Brooklyn with my wife. As a business owner, I take pleasure in giving back to my community. I also appreciate that Staten Island's accessibility allows for affordable ownership while still remaining connected to the city's energy. I recently ended my relationship with my long-term partner, but I'm ready to move on to the next phase. My current project is the "Better Burger" Project for the Chefs of America Foundation, on which I am currently working as a member. I've taken on this responsibility with the goal of demonstrating to the Staten Island community that eating healthy, sustainable foods is a wise choice and that this is the direction in which the restaurant market is moving.

  There are many different types of events that can be held at the Parlour. Our spaces have been created to host and accommodate your needs as much as possible. From a small space for a nice dinner party to a medium-sized space for a medium-sized party, or a larger space for a bridal shower, baby shower, engagement party, bar mitzvah, corporate events, beer pong, and more, we have a space to accommodate your needs. The Coffee Bar, which is also known as the Espresso Bar, is located on the left hand side of our restaurant as you enter. Guests can easily accommodate 50 to 60 people in this pleasant and comfortable space. As you enter our restaurant, the main bar is located on the right-hand side of the building. This space has a dining area as well as a cocktail area that can accommodate up to 90 people. This is primarily for a special mid-size event of great significance. There are private bathrooms, a dining area, and a dancing area in our downstairs lounge, which is located in our basement. With appetizers and cocktails, we can accommodate up to 175 guests. For a sit-down dinner, we can accommodate up to 75 people. On request, we can provide a DJ and/or Karaoke services.   A few months into the COVID-19 pandemic, Jarrod Fox and Taylor Lintz decided they wanted to bring back the joy of entertainment that the Williamsburg community was lacking. Taking inspiration from an outdoor movie theater, Jarrod figured if people can get together and socially distance themselves to watch a movie, he could find a way to make the same thing happen with a bar. His idea, TailGate Outdoor Sports Bar, grew larger as he approached a number of venues with the concept. Taylor then quit her full-time day job to take over operations and help invest in the bar, and the rest is history. TailGate Outdoor Sports Bar was made with COVID-19 in mind to create a one-of-a-kind bar and entertainment experience. Each table fits up to 10 guests, has its own heater if needed, a 65 inch TV, a QR Code for contactless food and beverage orders, and a hand sanitizing station. Parties sit 7-8 feet apart or have plexiglass to keep a safe distance while enjoying live music, sports, food, and drinks. Jarrod and Taylor have put a strong emphasis on being inclusive: whether it be a drag show or football game, TailGate is dedicated to hosting as many fun events as they can for anyone to enjoy.
