Mawita is a warm colorful oasis in the mountainside community. The space transports you to your favorite South American escape. The restaurant has three unique dining sections. one featuring a double-sided fireplace, another with sweeping views of the mountains, and a third underneath our hanging garden. Mawita is the newest addition to Chef Mawa McQueen's - a James Beard semifinalist nominee in 2022 and the 2020 & 2022 Colorado Governors Minority business winner of the year - collection of restaurants. Mawita is located on the top floor of The Collective building in Snowmass Base Village, next to the ice skating rink. We strive to bring every customer a high level of service in a fun and inviting atmosphere. Mawita is the ideal place for corporate or private events in Snowmass Village. We can accommodate from the most intimate of gatherings in one of our private rooms, and up to 150 guests seated or 250 standing for a cocktail party setting. The restaurant is divided into three spacious dining rooms, accented with warm lighting, comfortable booths, colorful Latin modern art, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Established in 1990 as Aspen's first members-only club, the Caribou Club has grown into a landmark of Colorado's most storied mountain town. Located at 411 East Hopkins Avenue, the club occupies a richly appointed space filled with Western art, Native American murals, and the kind of lived-in warmth that only three decades of tradition can produce. Six distinct event spaces accommodate gatherings of all sizes, from an intimate dinner for two in the Wine Room to a full-club buyout in the Great Room and Main Dining Room for up to 200 guests. Spaces include the Hunt Room and Pow Wow Room — each available as private rooms or connectable for groups up to 50 — as well as the Cub Room and Caribou Alley, a flower-festooned covered outdoor passage with French doors and bistro-style seating for up to 80 guests at a reception.
