    Dorothy B. Oven Park & House is a historic garden estate managed by the City of Tallahassee, set across more than six acres of lush North Florida landscape. The property traces its roots to a Lafayette Land Grant from 1824 and centers on a classic manor-style home distinguished by rare magnolia paneling, poplar floors, antique furniture, and original artwork. A charming lanai and a 40-by-40-foot patio extend the usable event space into the surrounding grounds, which are planted with azaleas, camellias, palms, and native Florida flora. The house is available for weddings, receptions, seminars, and private gatherings. Full kitchen facilities support catering, and rental packages include extended setup and cleanup windows — the Saturday wedding package provides 14 hours of event time. The park is also well known locally for its annual holiday light display, a long-standing Tallahassee tradition that draws visitors each season.

    Sundown Farms Plantation is a wedding and event destination set on 13 professionally landscaped acres in Moultrie, Georgia, in the heart of south Georgia's plantation belt. Established in 2009 when the Alderman family opened the estate to the public, the property sits 50 miles north of Tallahassee and combines a working quail hunting plantation with an event venue capable of hosting weddings, reunions, and private gatherings. The grounds center on a 7,000-square-foot lodge constructed in 2008, surrounded by a courtyard, a wedding chapel, and a pond that serves as a backdrop for ceremonies. The dining hall accommodates over 100 guests for seated meals, while the courtyard offers an open-air setting for receptions and rehearsal dinners. The historic Murphy House — built in 1914 and moved to the property and restored in 2008 — provides overnight accommodations for wedding parties. Wedding packages include exclusive use of the lodge, chapel, and grounds for the event day and the Friday prior, with tables and chairs provided. Couples are welcome to bring their own licensed and insured vendors, with a recommended vendor list available on request.
