Hopleaf Bar has anchored Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood since 1992, built around a commitment to craft beer and Belgian-inspired cooking. The bar pours from 62 taps alongside an ever-rotating selection of bottles covering Belgian ales, fine wines, spirits, and ciders — a breadth of selection that has made it a destination for enthusiasts across the city. The kitchen extends that same philosophy to food: nearly everything is made from scratch in-house, from stocks and charcuterie to housemade sausages, with sourcing guided by a preference for pasture-raised meats, organic produce, and sustainably harvested seafood. The bar's signature mussels and frites reflect its Belgian roots and remain a fixture on a menu that shifts with the seasons. The space itself carries the character of its long history — exposed brick walls hung with vintage Belgian beer advertisements, a classic wood bar, an ornate tin ceiling, and a quiet back dining room anchored by a wood stove. Hopleaf is an adults-only venue, and limited reservations are available through Tock for those planning ahead, while the majority of tables remain open for walk-ins.

During the week, The Arbory transforms into a blank slate for ample production work and photoshoots or a dynamic setting for corporate breakout sessions and creative brainstorming. On weekends, The Arbory’s custom lighting and furniture amenities create a customizable venue to bring your wedding vision to life. With in-house video production and tech capabilities, we can seamlessly allow for one or two way live streaming options, projection, and full light control with blackout shades on our six oversize skylights. The Arbory includes dimmable Italian café lights, uplighting options, two lounges, as well as custom oak tables and two types of upgraded wood chairs. Our private green room/wedding suite allows for a private moment before and after the ceremony and has been thoughtfully designed with photography in mind.
