This private event space can accommodate approximately 60 guests throughout the space for a sit down meal or a cocktail reception, and is accented with an inviting sofa lounge, soaring 2-story windows, an open kitchen, and a custom Italian-style mural on the ceiling. You also have the option of connecting to our sound system to play your own music. Our talented culinary team has created a variety of delicious, made-from-scratch menus. Wedding ceremonies, receptions, parties, and seminars can be held in the Athenaeum in a dramatic and unique setting that can be tailored to your individual needs. Upstairs galleries may accommodate up to 125 guests standing or 80 guests seated at tables. For a ceremony, the delightful courtyard offers a lovely outdoor location for up to 50 people to stand or sit. The Athenaeum structure and courtyard are included in all of our rentals. ​As always, we will be pleased to discuss your specific needs. Rental requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Viewings of the Athenaeum can be arranged in advance or during gallery hours. The gallery is open from noon to four on Thursday through Sunday. On holidays, the Athenaeum is closed. Membership of the Northern Virginia Fine Arts Association at the Supporter level ($100) or higher is required to rent out the Athenaeum. The Rules and Regulations for Renting the Athenaeum, the Release of Liability for Renting the Athenaeum, and an event information form must all be read and signed by the renter. The return of a completed contract, a 50% payment, and a $750 refundable security deposit completes a reservation.

An homage to 19th-century mathematician Ada Lovelace, Ada’s offers stunning views of the Potomac and features wood-fired prime steaks, fresh seafood and vegetarian fare. The interior, designed by Hapstak Demetrios, provides a warm, modern feel with 15-foot floor-to-ceiling windows and inviting booth seating. The wood-burning oven is a central component to the open-concept kitchen, nestled under a sweeping hull-like wood panel, and accented with vibrant red tiles. The private dining room features a ‘hidden’ screen for presentations, a built-in wine rack, and flexible seating arrangements. Original art features Ada, her father, the poet Lord Byron, and other figures such as Jane Austen, Mary Shelley, and Emily and Charlotte Bronte. For a buyout, the restaurant can host 150 guests for a standing cocktail reception, with 125 seated indoors at dining tables, bar stools, and high tops, including a private 30-seat dining room, plus their outdoor patio, which seats 100. Some booths in the dining room can be removed to provide a more open floorplan for a cocktail reception. For a smaller group, the private dining room at Ada's provides an intimate space for up to 30 seated or 40 standing guests. The room is fully enclosed with a door for privacy, and features a wall-mounted tv that can be used to display a slideshow or artwork. Our talented culinary team has created a variety of delicious, made-from-scratch menus, including delicious hors d’oeuvres and elegant buffets.

Located on the Old Town Alexandria waterfront, BARCA (Spanish for boat) styles shipyard chic and Catalonian coastal influence into a waterfront Pier and Wine Bar. Both indoor and outdoor spaces serve up Spanish-Mediterranean small plates, wine, sangria, and cocktails. Built out on the water, Barca Pier is a modern version of the traditional Spanish beach bars, or chiringuitos. Constructed out of shipping containers, Barca Pier features al fresco dining, with seating for 200 guests at tables, a large bar, and lounge areas partially covered by retractable awnings. Sip, nosh, and soak up the sun along the majestic Potomac River against the backdrop of the Nation's Capital in the distance. Barca's menu highlights small plates / tapas with Mediterranean, Greek, Italian, and Moroccan flavors. Located on the waterfront in historic Old Town Alexandria, Barca Wine Bar is an intimate space, adorned in rich, vibrant jewel toned walls, and sophisticated, brushed gold lighting fixtures. Almost all wedding ceremonies are held outside, unless otherwise noted. Depending on the number of guests attending, small ceremonies can take place in indoor spaces. We have a number of locations on the farm where we can provide overhead coverage if necessary. Tent rental from third-party vendors may be required as additional coverage. We have some recommendations for caterers, musicians, and bartenders, but we do not require the use of an exclusive list for any of these services. We will gladly collaborate with the vendor of your choice. Bella Vita requires that all ceremonies and large celebrations be covered by liability insurance for the entire day of the event. We offer wedding packages starting at $3500 for MicroWeddings and $5000 for weddings with more than 50 attendees. All of this includes the use of 12 round tables and 100 white chairs, as well as a dress rehearsal the day before the event. Wedding rehearsal dinners on the farm are a wonderful way to kick off the wedding festivities. Consider it a pre-party to the Big Day, held in a more intimate setting with your bridal party, close friends, and family members before the big day. In order to create a memorable ambiance, inquire about the secret garden or the undercroft. Instead of a formal rehearsal dinner, you might prefer to have a friendly game of bocce ball or axe throwing as a pre-wedding activity.
