Sunstone Villa is an 8,500-square-foot Provençal-inspired estate nestled in California's Santa Ynez Valley, 35 minutes north of Santa Barbara. The property was built with reclaimed French materials — limestone walls salvaged from historic châteaus in Aix-en-Provence, Normandy, and the Loire Valley, and wood beams reclaimed from a 19th-century lavender factory in Avignon — creating an authentic European atmosphere set against the rolling vineyards and olive groves of Santa Barbara Wine Country. The Villa hosts weddings, corporate retreats, private celebrations, and intimate elopements across its courtyards, lavender gardens, and vineyard terraces. Eight limestone fireplaces warm the estate through cooler seasons, and the grounds feature ancient olive trees and sweeping vineyard views. Accommodations include five primary suites in the Villa and three additional suites in the on-site Cottage, allowing guests to reserve the entire estate for a fully private experience. Orcutt Ranch Horticultural Center is a 24-acre historic estate managed by the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, located at 23600 Roscoe Boulevard in West Hills. The property was originally the vacation retreat of oil pioneer William Warren Orcutt, and its Spanish Colonial Revival residence — completed around 1926 — features glazed tiles imported from Mexico and carved mahogany and walnut woodwork from the Philippines. The grounds include a seasonal rose garden, a 700-year-old Coast Live Oak, wandering nature trails, a citrus orchard, a rustic barn, a courtyard fountain, and a gazebo. The venue accommodates events for 40 to 300 guests, making it well-suited for weddings, receptions, anniversaries, and private celebrations. Rental facilities are available daily from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and a guest house with two separate dressing rooms is available for the bridal party. Acoustic music is permitted throughout the outdoor grounds, and DJs may perform indoors. Rentals are coordinated directly through the Orcutt Ranch office. The hall features an adjustable lighting system and smooth linoleum flooring that opens up a natural dance floor. Your Wedding Date Has Been Reserved With a $200 non-refundable Reservation Fee, we will hold your tentative wedding reservation for fifteen days and then release it to you. We provide you with this time so that you can think about your wedding ideas at Wayfarers Chapel in peace. If you decide to proceed with your wedding plans at the Chapel, we ask that you confirm your wedding by paying the entire wedding contribution (minus the reservation fee) and returning the completed and signed wedding questionnaire to the Chapel within fifteen days of making your reservation. If you decide not to proceed with your wedding plans at the Chapel, we ask that you cancel your reservation. Wedding contributions are non-refundable, but you are free to change your wedding date or time without incurring any additional fees. If we do not receive your wedding donation and completed questionnaire before the end of the fifteen-day period, we will assume that you do not intend to proceed with your wedding arrangements at the Chapel and will cancel your wedding reservation at the Chapel. Tom Russell, an agriculture professional from Phoenix, Arizona, founded De Tierra Vineyards in the Salinas Valley in 1998 as an organic grape-growing company. In the early 1990s, Russell converted the majority of his conventional row crop vegetable farm to organic, and he had considerable success in the California market. Russell was passionate about wine and farming, and he wanted to learn more about the advantages of organic wine grape growing. Russell teamed up with Lucio Gomiero, a friend and winemaker from Vignalta Italy, to create an organic vineyard in the Corral de Tierra Valley. A 40-acre farm with a south-west facing orientation was chosen, about 15 miles from the Salinas Valley. De Tierra Vineyards was founded as a result of this collaboration. De Tierra began as a shared dream among good friends, and has since grown into a thriving artisanal brand with distribution in over 20 states, numerous awards, an active wine club, and a burgeoning team of experienced wine enthusiasts at its helm. Dan McDonnal and Alix Lynn Bosch are the current owners of De Tierra. De Tierra produces award-winning, hand-harvested wines to share from Monterey County's unique terroir. De Tierra focuses on offering the best depiction "of the land," as the name says. Great wines start in the vineyard, and their purpose is to transfer the terroir's distinctive qualities into great wine. Dan and Alix are committed to continuing De Tierra's tradition of creating high-quality boutique wines. De Tierra produces nine different varieties. They use fruit from high-quality vineyards throughout Monterey County and beyond to make all of their wines. De Tierra's objective is to create handcrafted, premium wines using California's greatest fruit. In Carmel-by-the-Sea, they have a tasting room.
