Color Factory is a collaborative interactive exhibit that debuted in San Francisco in August 2017. What was intended as a month-long run unexpectedly flourished as a celebration of color and creativity that lasted for another eight sold-out months. In August 2018, a whole new palette came to New York City in SoHo’s Hudson Square neighborhood. In 20,000 square feet, we feature brand-new participatory installations of colors we’ve collected around the city— hues that invite curiosity, discovery and play. Some of our favorite artists, creatives, designers and makers are teaming up with us to tell their unique color stories and engage all of your senses in unexpected ways. Chef James Kent's first solo project – two restaurant concepts in the landmark building 70 Pine Street –spans five stories including the Art Deco building’s 66th floor, a former observation deck. The two private salons on the 62nd floor can be reserved privately or combined. SAGA (2 Michelin Star restaurant) features two floors dedicated to private dining, each with windows that frame views of the city skyline and Brooklyn Bridge. The rooms range in size, accommodating business dinners and board meetings, wedding receptions, film productions, and media events. In addition to the dedicated private dining rooms, both SAGA and Overstory– SAGA's cocktail bar with a wraparound terrace–are available for partial evening and full buyouts. The terraces has full bar service in the summer for elegant parties in the daylight and heated seating across the terraces for chilly summer evenings. The Standard, East Village, is a quaint, attractive, and eccentric hotel located off Cooper Square in one of New York's most vibrant, artistic areas. It is very much in the spirit of its surroundings. Before ascending to breathtaking vistas of Manhattan, you enter the 21-story tower through the original tenement-style building. There is a tranquil garden hidden beneath the street, the busy, all-day street-side Café Standard with an indoor mushroom farm, and NO BAR, a hugely inclusive new wave bar that accepts anybody and everyone. Venues The Standard, East Village is more than just a collection of restaurants and bars; it offers a diverse range of venues to fit any occasion. You can do it all under our roof, from casual gatherings to board meetings, intimate cocktails to live concerts, seasonal Garden areas to Penthouse vistas of Manhattan. The Penthouse The Penthouse, which is on the 21st story, has a panoramic view of New York City. A surround sound music system, four separate bathrooms, and a flexible selection of accessible furniture options are all included in the space. The Overlook The Overlook is a multi-purpose meeting and conference venue with a furnished terrace overlooking our garden. The bright space, which is located on the second floor, can accommodate 16 guests at the boardroom table and has a 60” HDMI compatible TV & Wi-Fi. The Perch The Perch, on the second level, is accessible for private business meetings of 4-6 people. The 255 sq ft room views our private garden on East 5th Street and Bowery, with floor-to-ceiling windows set among the trees. Chairs, a sofa, a coffee table, and a desk are all included in the Perch's setup. Private Dining Room The private dining room at Narcissa may seat up to 10 people for a private lunch, dinner, or meeting. The location, which is adjacent to the restaurant's main dining room and has its own private bar, overlooks our tranquil garden. On request, a high-definition LED television screen can be used for presentations.

Originally a residential block, the Dumbo neighborhood developed into a major factory area in the late 1800s-early 1900s. Soon, the manufacturer Edward H. Cole established it as one of the most industrial neighborhoods in the city. This brought in William Taylor & Sons Columbian Iron Works on Adams and Water Street, a sign making company, a brass foundry, a two-story machine shop and storage facility for E. W. Bliss and Phillips, Doup & Company. Many of these factories in the area were demolished to make way for the Manhattan Bridge. Luckily, the building at 155 Water Street wasn’t affected by the construction of the bridge and has a long history of manufacturing ironworks and other materials. In 1905, Edward Cole used the factory to make steam fittings then leasing out the property to Phillips, Doup & Company, who built steam heaters. Cole sold the building in 1920 to L&H Stern, manufacturers of smoking pipes and accessories. The company used the lower floors as offices and the upstairs as the production space. The simple brick facade, articulated by segmental openings and projecting lintels and sills, marks 155 Water Street as an example of the American round arch style. Additionally, the slow-burning mill construction and history make it an amazing representative of American factory architecture – contributing greatly to the character of the Dumbo Historic District.

Hancock St. is an NYC restaurant owned by John McDonald and Chef Ryan Schmidtberger that focuses on fresh ingredients and reimagined takes on basic meals. It has a 75-seat dining room, a 50-seat Garden Veranda, and a private dining room that can accommodate up to 30 people. Co-owner Serge Becker is no stranger to the hospitality industry, having owned famous establishments such as Area MK, Bowery Bar, La Esquina, Miss Lilly's, and Bodega Negra. Ryan Schmidtberger, the head chef of Hancock Street, is a former Lure Fishbar alum. Despite the fact that it was peak COVID, Becker and McDonald had previously collaborated on Lure Fishbar and believed it was time to start a new project together. Hancock is a white tablecloth restaurant that only serves dinner. "The space is dark, sexy, vintage looking," McDonald says, “It feels like it has been here for 20 years already, which was the goal." McDonald envisioned an elegant eatery that was neither fussy nor pretentious. He and Becker wanted to create something that appeared to have been around for a long time, with history and flaws. The menu features typical New York American fare that you'll want to eat every day. After a few months of the lockdown, McDonald was bored, and it prompted him to reconsider what he intended to do with a few of his properties. Pre-pandemic, the restaurateur had intended to conduct a two-week modest renovation of El Toro Blanco, but instead decided to do a complete overhaul from top to bottom. Serge Becker was also in town, so the pair got to work on Hancock St, and the rest is history.
