Weston Gardens features a number of showcase gardens that date back to the 1930s and 1940s. In the beginning, Leon and Peggy Bandy created them as a personal estate for themselves. Before the invention of air conditioning, the whole layout of the gardens was planned with outdoor recreation in mind. Travel back in time to Fort Worth, which was said to be a place where "everyone who was anyone" used to hang out and dance on the rock ship or sunbathe by the stream. Weston Gardens is a contemporary take on the traditional English garden, and it's perfect for a couple. The gardens' convenient location in the middle of Fort Worth, near the intersection of 820 and Anglin, making it an ideal location for weddings and other events. You will feel as though you have traveled back in time when you visit Weston Gardens, a private estate that was constructed in the 1920s and 1930s. Rustic Grace Estate is a charming 1920s barn adorned with vintage silos as well as beautiful chandeliers. Located in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, Rustic Grace Estate was established in 2013. Couples can customize their wedding by working with an expert on-site venue manager. The barn, along with a stunning wedding chapel, provides space for a multitude of guests for the perfect wedding day. Rustic Grace Estate also has bride and groom rooms with TVs and bathrooms to accommodate couples getting ready for their special day. The barn is decorated with twinkling lights and the site can provide tables and other necessary furniture for the event. Couples are able to bring in any and all vendors they wish to work with. As a result of our desire to be closer to our children and grandkids, we closed the doors of our long-standing San Antonio-based business, Steve Heflin Architect/Builder (www.steveheflinhomes.com), and relocated to the Ft Worth region in 2011. The idea of a commercial venture that would bring together our talents in design, construction, décor, and hospitality sparked our imaginations, and we began daydreaming and planning for it. Our 35 years of marriage, combined with a sprinkling of supernatural guidance, may have prompted the notion of developing a wedding/event venue that was distinct in both style and beauty for our clients. We discovered a 21-acre farm just outside of historic Weatherford, TX, while searching the Fort Worth countryside. Beautiful trees, natural springs, and pasture area are all part of this estate, which has been in the family for 115 years. We began collecting architectural elements such as 300+ year old doors, gables, mirrors, tables, rustic wagons, gates, and benches from Texas and Santa Fe, using the same expertise and attention to detail Steve used in designing beautiful custom homes. These elements will be used in both a Country Chapel and an Event Center, which will be completed in 2018. This is where the journey begins! Construction began when the land was purchased, the move was completed, the designs were drafted, and the road was built. The Brooks at Weatherford, a new community in Weatherford, is taking shape one step at a time. Even as we cherish the opportunity to be near to our children and grandchildren, we are reminded and assured that marriage is worth the effort of remaining together and, more importantly, worth celebrating. Not only do we intend to provide a lovely setting for celebrations, but also a location where people want to hang out and enjoy themselves.
