Since Lorena Garcia has been cooking professionally, she has focused on bringing the flavors of Latin cooking -- one of the great cuisines of the world -- to a wider audience. Her global, fresh and highly flavorful take on Latin Cuisine offers a modern fusion of classic techniques with Latin ingredients. Her life as a chef, entrepreneur, cookbook author, media personality, cookware designer and restaurateur has been a celebration of the cooking and passion for food that she grew up with in her native Caracas, Venezuela with the international flavors and culinary techniques she amassed as a young chef working in some of the world’s finest restaurants. In July 2002, Garcia opened her first restaurant, Food Café, followed by Elements Tierra in Miami’s Design District. In 2011, she moved her restaurant operations into airports (currently at MIA, DFW and ATL), offering millions of travelers Lorena Garcia Tapas y Cocina, a healthier take on traditional Latin cuisine. Lorena also operates the Lorena Garcia Culinary Loft in Miami, which is available for private events, as well as film and television production. It also features a 200 square foot covered pergola perfect for guest seating or a stage. The Plaza's name derives from the large "Jungle" mural created by collaborative art studio 2 x 4, which provides a visual respite that references not only the South Florida landscape, but also the urban landscape of the Miami Design District. This event space is suitable for large social and business functions. Defined by its vibrant artsy aesthetic, this outdoor setting is designed to inspire awe and stimulate guests' imagination. Miami PBA Rental Hall is a newly renovated event venue operated by the Miami Police Benevolent Association, located at 2300 NW 14th Street in Miami, Florida. The hall accommodates up to 300 guests and is fully ADA compliant, making it accessible for all occasions. Following a complete renovation, the space features neutral colors and a beautiful terrazzo floor that allow for flexible decor in any color scheme. State-of-the-art audio-visual equipment is built into the facility, supporting everything from corporate presentations to live entertainment. The hall is available for a wide range of events — including weddings, quinces, sweet sixteen parties, birthday celebrations, anniversary parties, baby showers, bar and bat mitzvahs, church events, charitable fundraisers, and corporate training. Outside caterers and party planners are welcome, giving clients full flexibility over food and event production.

Mandolin Aegean Bistro, owned by husband and wife pair Ahmet Erkaya and Anastasia Koutsioukis, first opened its doors in Miami in 2009. In Miami, they refurbished a 1940's property that included one of the city's most prominent gardens and outdoor patio spaces, where every detail was carefully considered. Bringing their blended culture and enthusiastic hospitality to Miami's cuisine scene, the pair established themselves as leaders in the industry. Private events can unfold throughout the property, with settings suited to dinners, cocktail gatherings, brand activations, corporate events, and social celebrations. Surrounded by greenery and layered architectural details, Upper Buena Vista offers an inviting backdrop that feels removed from the pace of the city.

Group accommodations are offered to large groups for 1 of our 3 private rooms or for our non-private option, on contract and preset menus. But while it is not mandatory to book large groups through Private Dining, it makes the dining experience for large groups as enjoyable as for a party of 2, while enabling our staff to provide the excellent service that is a part of Joe’s. Due to the current situation, tables in the restaurant are set 6’ apart, 4-6 guests per table and our guidelines for Private Dining have been modified. Guests must follow all current COVID-19 guidelines, including social distancing and wearing masks. In the restaurant, we offer 2 private rooms and a non private option. We also offer a smaller private room in Joe's Take Away, which is located next to the restaurant. All events, both private and non private, are scheduled for 2 hours for lunch or dinner. If the scheduled time is exceeded, an additional charge of $500.00 plus gratuity will be added to the bill for each additional thirty (30) minutes or any part thereof.
