Megobrebo! (Dear Friends!) Welcome to Tabla, DC’s first and second with Supra being our sister restaurant (and only) Georgian restaurants. As no less a chef than Rene Redzepi put it a few years ago, Georgian is the last great undiscovered cuisine in Europe. He was right then, but it’s no longer ‘undiscovered.’ In 2017, we opened Supra at 11th and M, and it’s been a big hit, bringing cheesy khachapuri, soup filled ‘khinkali’ dumplings, and Georgia’s many veggie options to DC diners. We also have the largest Georgian wine list outside the country – Georgia being the world’s oldest wine culture – and the first Georgian craft beers to reach the States. We opened Tabla in 2020 in the Park View/Petworth area, bringing a more-casual vibe to the décor (Georgian street artist ‘LAMB’ did the interior paintings and other artwork) and taking a few more liberties with the menu (still Georgian, but some dishes are not completely traditional). We offer catering for all private events! Email us for more details Tabla@supradc.com

Anderson House, a 1905 Beaux Arts mansion built as the winter residence of Larz Anderson, an American ambassador, and his wife, Isabel, allows visitors to immerse themselves in the history and magnificence of Gilded Age Washington. The mansion, which was designed by the Boston architectural firm Arthur Little Herbert Browne, was recognized as a National Historic Landmark in 1996. The Andersons' Washington residence was designed largely for entertaining guests. From 1905 until 1937, they held a variety of events including diplomatic and inaugural receptions, formal dinners and luncheons, and musical performances. Anderson House has been host to some of the world's most important leaders and intellectuals, including William H. Taft, Calvin Coolidge, and Winston Churchill, as well as other notable figures from the United States and beyond. A collection of Asian ivories and lacquerware, as well as screens and sculptures, have been collected by Larz and Isabel during their many travels around the world. English paintings hang on the walls, as do French and Flemish tapestries. The transfer of Anderson House and much of its original furnishings to The Society of the Cincinnati, a patriotic organization of which Larz Anderson had been a committed member, was orchestrated by Isabel Anderson after Larz’s death in 1937. The Society for the Preservation of the American Revolution was founded in 1783 by George Washington and other leaders of the Continental Army and is today a non-profit historical organization dedicated to preserving the memory of the American Revolution. There are free guided tours, a changing exhibition gallery, a research library, and a variety of public programs available at Anderson House.

Mrs. Whittemore's House and the History of Mrs. Whittemore The Whittemore House, designed by architect Harvey Page for opera singer Sarah Adams Whittemore, is located in the heart of the city's historic district. The fact that Mrs. Whittemore was the first woman to use the facility does not imply that she was the last. Womanhood has always been celebrated and empowered at the Whittemore House, whether through song or spoken word performances. For Each and Every Occasion There are nine enchanted rooms of varying sizes, which makes the venue an ideal setting for private parties, weddings, and other special events. Each has its own distinct personality and is tastefully decorated with antiques, artwork, and political memorabilia.
