This two-story Grand Victorian saloon greets you with a breath-taking staircase and a palatial, museum-like experience complete with sporting sculpture, collectible prints and original works of art featuring sports legends and Washington’s own storied history. OUR FOOD Our Commitment to Better began decades ago when we chose to bypass traditional commercial produce routes in favor of locally grown fruits and vegetables. Establishing relationships with local farmers, Clyde’s Restaurant Group was farm-to-table before it was a term. Not only does this provide fresher ingredients for our chefs and guests, but we consider it part of our ongoing collaboration with the local economy to design dining experiences that support the region’s growth. Our chefs proudly support local watermen of the nearby Chesapeake Bay and other east coast fisheries. Our seasonal menus showcase the true “bounty of the sea.” In addition to our local, farm-grown produce and seafood, we proudly serve Linz Hertitage Angus, Keystone Farms Chicken, and Leidy’s Premium Duroc Pork. The Woodrow Wilson House is located in Washington, DC. This historic landmark and National Trust for Historic Preservation site first opened its doors to the public as a museum in 1963. It is now a museum dedicated to President Woodrow Wilson's life and presidency. As stewards of this House, we take our responsibilities seriously. In trying to learn from regressive policies that institutionalized racism and segregation as well as the loss and obstruction of civil liberties, we share Wilson's legacy, which includes the First World War, the League of Nations, and his vision for world peace. As historians, preservationists, and educators, we are committed to sharing the truth about history, even when it is not complimentary to the subjects of the history being discussed. An accurate assessment of history aids in our understanding of ourselves as a nation and as individuals. The timeless home of our 28th President, which has been meticulously restored to its 1920s splendor, provides an unforgettable backdrop for your special event or celebration. Throughout the house, marvellous architectural details and over 8,000 one-of-a-kind historical artifacts lend a distinct charm to the interior, while the expansive garden space serves as a blank canvas for guests to personalize. The City Tavern Club, which is located at the intersection of M Street and Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown, has long been a hub of activity in the city. As a result of its inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places, the City Tavern Club operates as a non-profit organization with the mission of preserving one of Washington, D.C.'s oldest Federal-period buildings and the city's only remaining founding-era tavern. Construction on the City Tavern began in 1796 and the building served as both an inn and a major center of civic life in the surrounding area during the early Federal period. While in town, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and other Founding Fathers stopped by the Tavern for a drink or two. On June 6, 1800, President John Adams was honored at a banquet in the Long Room of the Tavern, where he delivered the following toast: "To the President of the United States of America." The Great Hall is a large, open space with a lot of natural light.
