The Plaza Arts Center occupies a renovated schoolhouse built in 1916 in Eatonton, Georgia. After a decade of restoration, the building reopened in March 2008 as a nonprofit arts and cultural center dedicated to bringing artistic, educational, and entertainment opportunities to the Lake Country communities. It is historically significant because of its association with Victor Hugo Kriegshaber, who was a leader in the cultural and economic development of Atlanta during the first third of the twentieth century and who was also the original owner of this house." He commissioned the building to be designed by architect Willis F. Danny just before 1900, and he and his family lived there until their deaths in the year 1924. Denny's work is exemplified by the Kriegshaber residence; he was only in Atlanta for a few years before his untimely death at the age of 31 from pneumonia, but he managed to design many of the city's most prestigious public and private structures before 1905. The house is a notable transitional statement in terms of style, combining late Victorian and eclectic elements in a cohesive whole. The Wrecking Bar Brewpub has three different event spaces, each with a different capacity and atmosphere: the Wrecking Bar Brewpub, the Wrecking Bar Brewpub, and the Wrecking Bar Brewpub. The Biergarten is an event space located in our brewery warehouse that can accommodate up to 42 people seated and up to 100 people standing. There are twelve beer taps and fermentation tanks in the room, so it is definitely a casual venue, and it has a built-in stage, which makes it ideal for celebrations that include live music. It is located within our historic house, The Marianna, and serves as a private dining room for up to 20 people. The space can accommodate up to 30 people for a seated event or 40 people for a standing, cocktail-style event. This is our formal event space, located on the main floor of the house, and it can accommodate up to 250 people in seating capacity. Toccoa Falls College sits on a wooded North Georgia campus whose namesake feature — a 186-foot freefall waterfall — has made it one of the region's most distinctive settings for weddings and private celebrations. The building — originally home to the Blue Bell/Wrangler plant — was purchased by the city in 1988 and most recently underwent a complete renovation, reopening in January 2025 with updated spaces and a new outdoor courtyard available for rental. The center sits 60 miles north of Atlanta in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and offers five distinct event spaces spanning a range of sizes. The Harmony Grove Room on the upper level is the venue's largest, accommodating up to 750 guests with its factory-style windows, hardwood floors, wet bar, and access to a commercial kitchen. On the main level, the Commerce Room seats up to 100 guests and features hardwood floors and an in-house sound system with wireless microphones; the Cold Sassy Room holds up to 65 guests in a space defined by exposed brick walls; the Peach Room accommodates up to 40; and the Executive Board Room provides a table setting for up to 12. THE NAME OF OUR COMPANY The name "Rockin' T Meadows" derives from our 70-foot-long front porch, which is furnished with "Rockin" chairs that allow you to relax and enjoy the beauty of cattle grazing and grass swaying in the breezes as you look out across the rolling "Meadows" and hay fields. The letter "T" is, of course, derived from the proprietors' last name, Thornton. ​LOCATION Atlanta, Macon, and the surrounding areas are all within a short drive of the Rockin' T Meadows farm. The farm is located in Milner, Georgia. John and Martha Thornton maintain a 160-acre family farm on which they raise their children. The original house on the property, which was erected in 1849, included a gambrel wooden barn, which we refurbished in order to host family gatherings and events. Unfortunately, in 2012, lightning struck the wooden barn, causing it to be completely demolished. During the summer of 2013, we constructed a new barn to accommodate our huge family and church gatherings. Many people have inquired as to whether or not we would consider hosting weddings. Our decision to commence building of our bridal and groom suites, as well as modifications to create our dance hall, was made after considerable deliberation in 2015. Since opening, we've continued to improve our facility by adding new features each season to make it something truly unique. The Rockin' T Meadows Wedding Package is an all-inclusive package that includes everything. Reserving the Rockin' T Meadows All-Inclusive Package means that you are booking your venue as well as all of your vendors at the same time. Included in the pricing are the venue, your flowers, cake, DJ, catering, officiant, wedding coordinator, liability insurance, linens, and your choice of three photographers. Additional fees may apply.. With this package, you can also include a videographer as well as our Bar Package, which includes a bartender, a security guard, ice, cocktail hour appetizers, and a host liquor license, among other things.. The All-Inclusive Packages provide you with admission to the venue on Friday and Saturday, as well as access to our inventory of decorations and other amenities.
