The Engine Room is a one-of-a-kind event facility in historic downtown Monroe, Georgia, housed in portion of the Monroe Cotton Mills, which housed the engines that powered the mill machinery for 90 years. The hardwood floors, exposed brick walls with worn paint, heart of pine columns, iron bars covering a few of the windows, and major entrances with historic sliding fire doors have all been repaired and kept intact in the building, which has been a part of Monroe's history since 1895. This completely accessible, climate controlled space is one of the largest in Walton county, with modern comforts like as a full service commercial catering prep kitchen, updated industrial chic restrooms, and a huge bridal suite. The Engine Room's 6,400 sq ft main hall can accommodate groups of up to 400 seated or 500 standing people, but it may also be partitioned to accommodate smaller wedding ceremonies and receptions. With the old brick mill building and its surrounding towers acting as a magnificent backdrop, the expansive outdoor lawn provides an acre and a half of green area for ceremonies, parties, and picnics. The Engine Room also has a tucked-away outdoor patio for receptions and short ceremonies in a secluded open-air setting. Weddings The Engine Room is Monroe's newest and most interesting Special Events venue, providing both value and beauty. The Engine Room, with over 15,000 square feet of total area, can accommodate weddings of all shapes and sizes. The Engine Room boasts a single venue space of over 6,250 square feet, fully accessible space and facilities, climate control, a full-service caterer's kitchen, abundant parking, a secluded outdoor patio alcove, stunning hardwood floors, and an intimate old mill setting. Tables and chairs are included in the rental, in addition to these features. There are no vendor requirements in the Engine Room. While we can recommend some excellent merchants, all renters are free to choose their preferred vendors.

The Historic DeKalb Courthouse is the ideal location for wedding ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, fundraisers, and other special events of all kinds. This beautiful courthouse, located in Decatur, Georgia, just minutes away from Atlanta, serves as a spectacular backdrop for any historic event. With stunning arched windows and marble walls, the main event area is a sight to behold. A total of 150 guests may be accommodated at tables in the venue, which has lots of natural light and hardwood floors. A cocktail hour or a check-in area can be held in the lobby of the hotel. The Historic DeKalb Courthouse, which is located in Decatur, Georgia, only minutes away from Atlanta, is the ideal location for wedding ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, fund-raisers, and other special events. You will have the perfect setting for your historic event with the marble walls and wonderfully arched windows. During all evening and weekend rentals, guests will have access to the Courtroom, Harrison Room, Lobby, Groom's Room, and Bridal Suite for a total of 8 hours. The first two hours are usually devoted to setup, while the last hour is devoted to cleaning. The remaining 5 hours can be utilized for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and/or reception, according on your preferences. The ceremony and reception are both held in the Courtroom, and there is usually a room flip as guests enjoy cocktail hour in the lobby before the wedding. Most of the time, renters employ one of our Preferred Caterers to set up, flip, dismantle, and clean up after the event.

For private events, the museum offers four distinctive spaces suited to a range of celebrations and gatherings. The Grand Hall accommodates up to 300 guests for receptions and 250 for seated dinners in an elegant, light-filled setting with garden views. The Sculpture Garden provides an outdoor backdrop for ceremonies and luncheons of up to 170 guests. The M. Smith Griffith Auditorium seats 196 and supports performances and presentations with full audiovisual capabilities. Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum occupies the historic William Scarbrough House, a landmark antebellum mansion built in 1819 for one of the principal investors behind the first steam-powered transatlantic crossing. ABOUT In 1926, Eisler Nurseries was established by John Eisler, who was responsible for the creation of the Atrium. In the following three generations, the company grew and thrived, and in 1984 John's granddaughter, Sherry, took over the reins of the family enterprise. She was looking to expand her business in new directions when she realized that the greenhouse and horticulture center could provide a unique environment for special events and occasions. The Atrium was the name given to the new life that began in 2002. An event at The Atrium is unlike any other. Whether it is held in one of our greenhouses, the outdoor gazebo and gardens, or the main hall, it is absolutely unique. It goes without saying that the unique surroundings are only a part of what makes an event at the venue stand out. The Atrium's compassionate and creative personnel, a comprehensive choice of services and menu options, and the ability to work within a variety of budgets all combine to make it the location where events thrive. All types of festivities and meetings can be held in the greenhouses or on the grounds' outside gazebo gardens and main hall. Allow us to make your celebration one to remember. OUR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES The services listed below are included in your contract with The Atrium for your event. PLEASE NOTE: The Atrium is unable to serve alcoholic beverages. You are welcome to bring your own booze. All indoor and outdoor venues are available for rent. There is plenty of free parking. Assistance with the organization of your event Having staff on hand during your event is a big plus. Setup and cleanup are included. Tables and chairs are provided. Tablecloths with a crisp white hue Color selection for the napkins (excluding select packages) China and silverware are included (excluding select packages) Table centerpieces on each and every table (excluding select packages) Catering in accordance with your menu package The Atrium, a 1,500 square foot greenhouse in the center of our campus, serves as our focal point. Cocktails or little displays look fantastic in this atmosphere. Capacity is 100 people standing. A greenhouse with a floor area of 3,000 square feet. The most common application is for indoor wedding ceremonies. Capacity: 280 people seated and 300 people standing. The Main Hall is a 5,000-square-foot space that can accommodate both social and corporate functions. The room is equipped with audio-visual equipment and Wi-Fi. Capacity: 300 people sat at round tables; 100 people in a classroom setting; 325 people seated auditorium style (no tables); 400 people standing. In the Gardens, there is a wide patio, a garden, and a gazebo, which is an outdoor place. This is a popular venue for outdoor wedding receptions and ceremonies. Capacity: 280 people seated and 500 people standing.
