Joey the Cat is an events and rental company that was founded by three-time National Skeeball Champion in 2010, and is now run by a team of event professionals. We produce epic events with some of the top event production partners in the industry, rent out arcade games for special events ranging from weddings to 50th birthday parties, and have a fleet of games and photo booths at bars around California. Housed in a historic two-story warehouse, Mezzanine SF features large expanses of unobstructed wall space, soaring ceilings and immense skylights. Mezzanine SF is an adaptable venue that measures over 12,000 square feet with mezzanine levels that can be divided into smaller, more intimate spaces. The versatile space accommodates events ranging from small gatherings to large scale productions including product launches, corporate receptions, sit-down dinners, photography / video shoots, fashion shows, art shows, film screenings, and dances parties. Capacities for events at Mezzanine SF range from 75 to 1,000. Conveniently located at the intersection of sf’s two main thoroughfares (south van ness and market), svn west’s open floor plan offers maximum versatility with over 100,000 square feet of event space on three levels, including a spacious outdoor rooftop. Formerly the home of the Fillmore West and Carousel Ballroom, SVN West amps up any event through three floors of raw venue space that are steeped in musical history. The main hall, reverently named Carousel, showcased dozens of concerts during its brief operation from 1968 to 1971, including musical legends like the Grateful Dead, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, B.B. King, Miles Davis, Aretha Franklin, and more. Conveniently located at the intersection of SF’s two main thoroughfares (South Van Ness and Market), SVN West features over 100,000 sq. ft. of event space. The open floor plan offers maximum versatility and includes Carousel and its adjacent rooftop, along with a spacious mezzanine and additional ground floor event space. The space dates back to the late 1920’s when El Patio Ballroom opened there, hosting swing and big band musicians like Les Brown, Woody Herman, Stan Kenton, and Harry James. At some point, it became the Carousel Ballroom which operated up until 1968 when Bill Graham took it over. After about six months, he changed the name to Fillmore West (Fillmore East being his auditorium in New York City) which hosted some of the biggest names in rock and roll during its brief three year run.
