The Oxford, formerly known as Fourteen 86 Events, is now owned and managed by us. We have plans to remodel and modernize the venue, as well as be rebranded and relaunch in the fall. The ideal wedding venue for your special day, with room for 100 guests, it is ideal for a smaller wedding surrounded by your closest relatives and friends. You've found it if you're seeking for a versatile, family-friendly event space for any occasion. We welcome you to celebrate with us at The Oxford, whether it's for weddings, bridal and baby showers, graduations, retirements, or any other occasion you can think of. The entrance, terrace, bar area, and reception area will all get a makeover! You'll feel like you're walking into something special with the new pergola structure and bistro lighting at the entry from the parking lot. Any exposed wood or beams in the patio area will be painted white with gray accents and bistro lighting hung from them. During cocktail hour, your guests will be able to relax on the outside furniture. All pine wood in the main reception area, including the roof beams, has been dyed a grey tint. Fabric hanging with twinkle lights has been put to the ceiling, and new chandeliers and fresh paint will be placed to the walls. Our beautiful outside ceremony area will be given a complete make over with turf, solid bases for guest chairs and a backdrop overhaul. The McConathy family purchased 500 acres of the Turner Ranch in 2014, forming Oak Plantation Trophy Ranch. Originally, the family intended to construct a luxury hunting lodge where guided whitetail and exotic deer hunts would take place. Their oldest son got engaged in 2015. Long before anything else was erected, he and his bride were married beneath one of the gorgeous oak trees. The delight they felt as they saw their loved ones enjoy such a beautiful day transformed the hunting lodge into an event space. The Oak Atelier is a one stop shop for professional photography, private event space, and woodworking. We have over 2500 square feet of interior space and 5 acres of open and wooded outdoor space just outside of The Woodlands, Texas. There are four different spaces available for rent, each with its own set of characteristics that make this location genuinely unique. The majority of the furniture is manufactured in our woodworking shop (special orders are welcome!). We have enough of parking and paved access for you to dump your belongings. There is also a gray plastered pool for underwater photography, as well as a lovely white brick facade, making this place ideal for any shot or event! When I was trying to come up with ideas for this space, a few things came to mind. I enjoy both a clean, modern style and the flavor and detailed design of old world Europe. This studio is a hybrid of the two, providing something extra special and unusual. The 17 foot ceilings, massive 9 foot doors salvaged from old mansions, polished concrete floors, and exposed brick are just a few of the features that give this space its unique personality. We primarily serve professional photographers and offer hourly studio rental, as well as wardrobe rental and a selection of larger furniture pieces that can be put up in any location. I can personally attest to how amazing this place is for private occasions after having my husband and I's wedding reception here!
