The Club is also open to the general public on occasion for special events. A beautiful venue for weddings, parties, meetings, and community events, the Altadena Town & Country Club is located in Altadena, California. There are three elegant ballrooms at the ATCC, each of which has a spectacular view of the San Gabriel Mountains and the Club's amenities to offer. Aside from that, the Club offers two outdoor venues that are ideal for ceremonies and special events. The catering menus at the ATCC include a wide range of options, ranging from appetizers and hors d'oeuvres to entrées and desserts. In 1910, the Altadena Country Club, as it was originally known, was established, and on December 28, 1911, the club celebrated its grand opening. By 1915, the club had grown to include an 18-hole golf course and two tennis courts, and membership had reached 147 people. The Clubhouse's footprint was expanded in 1916, and a swimming pool measuring 25 feet long by 8 feet deep was added. By 1917, World War I had taken its toll, and membership had dropped by half, putting the organization on the verge of closure. A group of members took over the struggling Club in 1920 and renamed it the Pasadena Golf Club to reflect the new location. As part of an effort to keep up with the growing popularity of golf, the course was completely rebuilt with grass tees, greens, and fairways that were of the highest quality. The course was praised for having the largest tees and greens on the Pacific Coast, as well as a "traveling sprinkler" that moved from hole to hole. Originally built in 1923 as the California Hotel — designed by local architects Frank Benchley and Eugene Durfee and constructed at a cost of $136,000 — the property has been transformed into a mixed-use destination anchored by a charming al fresco courtyard that serves as its signature event space. The courtyard welcomes up to 200 guests for outdoor weddings, receptions, quinceañeras, corporate gatherings, and birthday celebrations. The enchanted site upon which Adamson House sits, where Malibu Creek meets the Pacific Ocean, was once home to the Chumash Indians, who thrived there until the late 18th century. Later, the Rindge family owned 17,000 acres and 20 miles of coastline and constructed a beach house, now the historic Adamson House museum, there. The Spanish Colonial Revival style home is now a National Historic Site, California Historical Landmark, and a California State Park. Built in 1929, it occupies one of the most idyllic oceanfront spots in all of Southern California. Situated near the Malibu Pier between popular Surfrider Beach and the Malibu Lagoon, the house boasts an exotic mix of Spanish and Moorish influences with dazzling displays of decorative tiles and one-of-a-kind craftsmanship including hand-carved doors, hand-painted frescoes, molded ceilings, distinctive cast ironwork and lead-framed bottle glass windows. Weddings, receptions and special events are scheduled from March through November and take place on the beautiful oceanfront property: the sycamore lawn, the front courtyard, and the rear lawn by the star fountain. All events are held outdoors, not inside Adamson House. If you would like to give your guests the opportunity to see the interior tile and house collections, State Parks can coordinate a special tour with our docent program. We offer an "open" house tour during your cocktail hour, with an additional cost of 500 dollars. A permit for this tour can be included in the wedding contract by the state wedding coordinator. We recommend that couples looking to rent this venue visit the park, walk the ocean front property, and take a tour of the house itself. Seeing the historic beach house full of Malibu Potteries tile and hearing the history of the last family to own all of Malibu is remarkable. The grounds are open to the public, seven days a week from 8 am to sunset. There is no parking on-site; however you can park in the LACO Surfrider Beach parking lot in front of the property, or in the Malibu Lagoon Beach lot across the bridge.

A year-round stream winds through the property, and four miles of hiking trails trace the ridgelines and canyon floors that surround the event area. The centerpiece for private events is the outdoor amphitheater, set among native coastal oaks and accommodating up to 200 guests for wedding ceremonies. Rentals include four hours of event time, a two-hour rehearsal, use of an on-site sound system, and access to indoor restrooms. The amphitheater features a built-in arch, stage, and tiered seating, framed entirely by natural landscape.
