Hortus NYC was crafted to give every guest an individualized, unique experience. The restaurant’s first floor is centered around an open kitchen to create an extra ordinary dining atmosphere. Divided into four distinct areas, the first floor is dedicated to bar dining with an open kitchen and a Chef’s Table for intimate group dining and special tasting menus. The High Line is an elevated freight rail line turned hybrid public space on Manhattan’s West Side. Founded in 1999 by two community residents, Friends of the High Line fought for the High Line’s preservation and transformation at a time when the historic structure was under threat of demolition. In 2009, the High Line was revived as the innovative park you see today. Friends of the High Line is now the nonprofit conservancy that maintains, operates, and programs the High Line in partnership with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation.
