    • Spaces for 250 Guests

Anita B. Gorman Park is an almost 46-acre public park in Kansas City North, managed by Kansas City Parks & Recreation. Originally known as Northgate Park, the property was first acquired by the Kansas City Parks Department in 1957 and expanded over the following decades. The park was renamed in 1991 to honor Anita Belle McPike Gorman — a civic leader who served as the first woman appointed to the Kansas City Board of Park and Recreation Commissioners, holding that post from 1979 to 1991 and serving as its president from 1986 to 1991. The park is home to the Northland Fountain, one of the few fountains in Kansas City that flows year-round, set amid open green meadows and mature trees. Its outdoor grounds are available for ceremonies and celebrations through the Kansas City Parks & Recreation rental program.
