We encourage you to have a unique event experience in the Oyster Shed at Leon's: an informal, more laid-back gathering; kick back, laugh loudly, and enjoy your celebration. Our facility, which is housed in a historic Charleston home, incorporates much of the reclaimed, comfy charm that makes LEON'S so appealing. Imagine reclaimed wood, high ceilings, exposed beams, old masonry, and the same lighting as our LEON'S dining room, along with a custom-built community table that seats 24 people. This compact area can be expanded to accommodate an extra 36 people by extending onto a private brick patio that is attractively lighted and manicured. Our food and beverage offerings are meant to promote the kind of relaxed, welcoming, family-style atmosphere that one expects at the best Lowcountry events. If you're searching for a lunchtime event, we also welcome parties of up to 40 people at Melfi's, our sister property, for a sunny and elegant Italian lunch. Leon's Fine Poultry & Oyster Shop is a welcoming Southern eatery that serves fried chicken, oysters, a variety of salads, cheap beer, soft serve, Rose on tap, a large selection of grower Champagne, and excellent cocktails. The restaurant is located in an ancient body shop that had belonged to Leon Ravenel, a long-time Charleston industrialist. Much of that industrial heritage is preserved in the room, which includes working garage doors, concrete flooring, and some souvenirs from Leon himself. We wanted a cozy, lived-in, familiar oyster bar when we opened the restaurant, so we drew inspiration from some of the places we'd visited around the South. After a lunch at a popular New Orleans soul food joint, we decided to add fried chicken to the menu, which has since become a LEON'S standard. We tried to put in a lot of veggies and salads to lighten it up. We've had the good fortune of being welcomed in Charleston and beyond. Alhambra Hall is tucked away in Mount Pleasant's Old Village neighborhood. This former ferry terminal, which overlooks Charleston Harbor, is furnished with hardwood flooring, vaulted ceilings, and airy southern porches that wrap around three sides of the structure. There are no conflicts between events because we only organize one event per day. Alhambra Hall's primary rental space, which is a well-liked location for weddings and celebrations, is about 3,280 square feet. The main hall is 80 feet long and 40 feet broad. 350 people can fit in the building at most. For a sit-down meal, the main hall can accommodate 200 people comfortably. All rentals may conclude as late as midnight on Saturday through Thursday and 1 a.m. on Friday. However, please remember that the fee of your nighttime rental covers using the space for an event that lasts no more than six (6) hours. Plan properly for your start and end hours. This unique event area includes several video displays and audio-visual equipment, as well as fully changeable lighting to suit any mood. We're one of the few reception sites in the Charleston area where the bridal party and guests can come and depart by boat. Cocktail tables, dining tables, and banquet seating are included in our room rental rate. We also have a waterfront gazebo for outdoor ceremonies and a dressing suite for the wedding party!

Harborside East is a waterfront venue located on Patriot's Point in Charleston and is considered to be the best in the city. With its breathtaking views of the Charleston skyline and harbor, it's an excellent choice for couples who want an elegant wedding with an outdoor ceremony on the water at the Charleston Harbor Hotel. Inside, the contemporary building boasts marble accents, sophisticated lighting, and panoramic views of the Ravenel Bridge, which is a landmark in the city. With four waterfront ceremony locations and a banquet facility with ample space for dancing, cocktails, and conversation, Harborside can accommodate weddings of all sizes. Your guests will be able to enjoy drinks while taking in the views of the harbor from the stainless steel indoor and outdoor bars. The banquet hall is made more spacious by the use of floor-to-ceiling glass windows. After 11 p.m., all amplified music must be turned off in public places. After 9 p.m., all outdoor amplified music must be turned off. If necessary, we can close off a portion of our patio with exterior flaps that can be lowered from the outside. It is necessary to have a LICENSED day of event coordinator. Neither a member of the wedding party nor a guest at the wedding may be this individual. A month before the event, they must provide a copy of their driver's license and meet with the venue manager to sign our coordinator agreement. Requests for recommendations for coordinators will be gladly accommodated by the venue. The host is required to provide Harborside with a Certificate of Insurance in the amount of $500,000 (minimum), with Harborside East named as an additional insured party on the policy.
