Hachland Hill is a family-run bed & breakfast, dining inn, and retreat center set on 80 acres of wooded hills in Joelton, just outside Nashville and about 25 minutes from the airport. The property has operated since 1955, and its grounds carry a long history: the land was once home to Cherokee and Chickasaw communities drawn to its spring-fed waters and abundant wildlife, and in the early 1700s it became known as "Paradise Hills" after two French brothers named Paradise settled the area. Crystal springs still run through the property today, alongside sassafras, maple trees, and wild turkeys, deer, and foxes. The retreat center hosts overnight stays, family reunions, business retreats, weddings, and banquets across several gathering spaces, including the Main Lodge, Spring Creek, and the more-than-100-year-old Tobacco Barn. Andrew Jackson's Hermitage sits on 1,120 acres in Nashville, Tennessee, and has welcomed guests since the mansion first opened to the public in 1889. In 1889, the same year that Benjamin Harrison was inaugurated as president of the United States, the Atlanta Stove Works brought the Barrett Range, an innovative cooking device made of cast iron, to the city of Atlanta. Krog Street was the location of the brand-new building that was constructed in the first year that it was in use. The interior is essentially identical to how it was found when it was initially discovered by explorers. You will be able to relive the excitement that they had through your own experience.
