The Mitz is a premier landmark building set in the Wicker Park area, just minutes away from Downtown Chicago. If the walls at The Mitz could talk, they would tell us a unique story about immigration, social policy, and Chicago's architectural heritage. The most aesthetically elaborate of the 19 facilities commissioned, this historic structure was built in 1918 and is one of three extant municipal bathhouses. The structure is the crown jewel of Wicker Park, an architecturally notable and socially innovative neighborhood. The structure has been transformed into a multi-use room that can now hold off-site meetings, workshops, tastings, and small corporate events. At The Mitz, you can infuse new life and enthusiasm into your next workshop, brainstorming session, or conference. Booking your event in our wide great room, which offers a flexible and comfortable area drenched in loads of natural light, is a terrific way to get away from the fluorescent lights of the workplace. We take pleasure in providing a one-of-a-kind experience for your team or clients. Allow us to create something unique for you and your group based on your objectives and demands. The Mitz is the ideal location for testing a new dish or simply having an intimate supper. Our chef's kitchen encourages culinary experimentation in a comfortable setting. Mundano

    1935 N Lincoln Park W, Chicago, IL 60614, USA

The name "Mundano" comes from the Spanish word "worldly," which Chef Ross Henke considered when creating the cuisine. Henke plans to rely on his recognized experience with Latin American cuisine, but he'll focus on the New American style, merging a range of inspirations and culinary techniques to create flavors that are both stunning and memorable. Mundano is a true neighborhood restaurant, located on a quiet street in Chicago's gorgeous Lincoln Park—though we feel neighborhood refers to sentiment more than a physical location. We believe that value is created via the experience, which is derived not just from our upgraded food and beverage program, but also from our staff and the positive, forward-thinking culture we are cultivating together. We hope you'll feel completely at home in our four walls, surrounded by the warmth and acceptance we've created, and inspired by our menu, which combines a variety of inspirations and cooking techniques to create flavors that are both stunning and memorable.

Douglas Park (named for Stephen A. Douglas, a United States Senator who was instrumental in bringing the Illinois Central Railroad to Chicago) was also under construction at the same time as Humboldt Park during the time of its construction. The Douglas Park Cultural & Community Center, which opened in 2010, is a near-exact copy of the Humboldt Park Field House, which is startling. Several event areas are housed in the historic Field House, which boasts terrazzo floors and a large plaster ceiling with complex designs. Cocktails on the balcony with a view of the lagoon are a popular choice among guests. Gardens and the "Flower Hall" may be found outside, as well as an in-ground swimming pool and lily pools among the acres of stunning landscaping in Douglas Park's exterior. Douglas Park is the ideal location for receptions, cotillions, weddings, and other casual gatherings since it offers both indoor and outdoor alternatives.

    Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool

125 W Fullerton Pkwy, Chicago, IL 60614, USA
    • Spaces for 250-400 Guests
    • 1 Outdoor

Begin your life together in Chicago's Lincoln Park, surrounded by the natural beauty and tranquility of a unique National Historic Landmark. The Lily Pool features an aesthetically important pavilion, a cascading waterfall, and native vegetation, and was designed by Alfred Caldwell in 1936. The Chicago Park District and the Lincoln Park Conservancy restored the Lily Pool to Caldwell's original design from 1998 to 2002, after decades of erosion and deterioration. The Conservancy is pleased to offer this natural haven as a location for your small wedding ceremony, proposal, or photos. The Lincoln Park Conservancy requires that all wedding, engagement, family, and other professional photos get a permit in advance. From May through mid-October, the Lily Pool holds seasonal events. During the Air and Water Show, it is also closed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Enter a hidden garden of unparalleled beauty through the Prairie-style Fullerton gate. Only the sound of birdsong and a soothing waterfall breaks the peaceful silence. Discover a pavilion, council ring, and different native flora along the stone walk around the lily pool. A hidden garden for the people of Chicago, created to resemble a river meandering over a vast Midwestern plain, is landscape architect Alfred Caldwell's concept. The Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool was originally part of a Victorian garden that included tropical lilies and other water plants and was created in 1889. The Lily Pool and its surrounding area fell into ruin after the Victorian-style garden fell out of favor, until Alfred Caldwell rebuilt the pool and its surroundings in 1936.

    • Spaces for 45-250 Guests

Club Lucky is the most popular restaurant in Bucktown/Wicker Park, specializing on traditional Italian cuisine served in a family-style setting. The interior is inspired by a 1940s dinner club, a one-of-a-kind cocktail lounge, and a private dining room on the edge of becoming a 1950s speakeasy. With everything from the vintage martini shaker collection to the big tables and booths to the cozy lighting, you and your friends will feel right at home. There are several solutions available to meet your preferences as well as your financial constraints. We recommend a meal that includes an Appetizer, Salad, Pasta Entrée, House Specialty Entrée, and Dessert. We will, however, make every attempt to accommodate any unique requests you may have or to create a menu just for your occasion. Although the ambiance is informal, the meals are substantial, and the pricing are affordable. For anyone arranging a lunch or dinner gathering in the Chicago region, Club Lucky is an excellent choice. In addition to being conveniently located off the Kennedy Expressway (just 5 blocks west on North Avenue), we are only minutes away from the Loop & Downtown Hotels. Club Lucky is available for private party buy outs of the whole restaurant for events taking place on Saturday and Sunday throughout the afternoon.
