The Museum of San Francisco offers approximately 4,000 square feet of event space plus an outdoor balcony with views of the financial district. Located at 608 Commercial Street, this historic venue is just steps away from the Transamerica Pyramid, North Beach, and China Town. The building marks the site of the first U.S. branch mint in the West. Montgomery Street, one-half block away, marks the original waterline of Yerba Buena Cove. Visitors can peer into the underground brick vault where gold was stored. The vault survived the 1906 earthquake and fire. San Francisco Historic Landmark #130, the Hibernia Bank now serves as a visible anchor for the City's Mid-Market neighborhood and features unique Neoclassical Revival-style touches, including its grand domed entrance and giant exterior colonnade. The interior boasts breathtaking Tiffany-style skylights which bathe the main hall in a warm amber glow, as well as the original mahogany-carved bank counter and vaults encased in red marble imported from Cork, Ireland. Most recently, this architectural gem has undergone an extensive renovation and has been lovingly restored to its former splendor.

Conveniently located at the intersection of sf’s two main thoroughfares (south van ness and market), svn west’s open floor plan offers maximum versatility with over 100,000 square feet of event space on three levels, including a spacious outdoor rooftop. Formerly the home of the Fillmore West and Carousel Ballroom, SVN West amps up any event through three floors of raw venue space that are steeped in musical history. The main hall, reverently named Carousel, showcased dozens of concerts during its brief operation from 1968 to 1971, including musical legends like the Grateful Dead, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, B.B. King, Miles Davis, Aretha Franklin, and more. Conveniently located at the intersection of SF’s two main thoroughfares (South Van Ness and Market), SVN West features over 100,000 sq. ft. of event space. The open floor plan offers maximum versatility and includes Carousel and its adjacent rooftop, along with a spacious mezzanine and additional ground floor event space. The space dates back to the late 1920’s when El Patio Ballroom opened there, hosting swing and big band musicians like Les Brown, Woody Herman, Stan Kenton, and Harry James. At some point, it became the Carousel Ballroom which operated up until 1968 when Bill Graham took it over. After about six months, he changed the name to Fillmore West (Fillmore East being his auditorium in New York City) which hosted some of the biggest names in rock and roll during its brief three year run.
