With great pride, AXIS Pioneer Square has preserved 10,000sqft within the historic 1889 Globe Building as Seattle’s most exciting event space. Our two joinable spaces are centered on a series of 15’ brick archways, blending seamlessly into antique wood floors with a sprinkle of industrial-modern design. The versatility of AXIS allows us to perfectly accommodate small gatherings all the way up to large events of 550 guests (cocktail style). Our venue is one of the only large capacity non-hotel event spaces in downtown Seattle and is easy walking distance to numerous downtown hotels, as well as the burgeoning Pioneer Square restaurant and bar scene (right out our back door). The modular space is designed by event professionals to allow you to customize your event within our stunning confines. With 5,000 square feet spanning six indoor and outdoor event venues and meeting spaces, we offer ideal settings for corporate events, weddings, receptions and private parties, with onsite catering overseen by Josh Henderson of Huxley Wallace Collective, one of the area’s favorite restaurateurs. Since Seattle’s first flying machine took to the skies over Puget Sound in 1908, the spirit of aviation has run deep through the area’s history—which is why you’ll find Thompson Seattle’s rooms, suites and event spaces subtly infused with textures, forms and materials inspired by flight. And, it’s why our second-floor meeting rooms are named for historic planes featured at Seattle’s world-renowned Museum of Flight. Blackbird, Dreamliner, Fly Baby and Grasshopper range from 500 to 1300 square feet and all feature dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows for an open, airy feel. Because our floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors lead out to our covered terrace and fireplace, we can provide an open-air venue right on the lake's shore. We can accommodate up to 180 guests for a seated dinner in our huge ballroom, or 300 people for a standing reception-style event in our adjacent ballroom and foyer. This beautiful event facility, which has been our exclusive venue for over 20 years, is located in the gorgeous 1900s-era old Fauntleroy Schoolhouse. The Hall at Fauntleroy, located in a peaceful tree-lined neighborhood yet only minutes from downtown Seattle, provides a variety of distinct indoor and outdoor settings. The ceilings are really high. Exposed brick adds warmth and texture to any room. There's also the charm of gentle light streaming in via wide windows that overlook a forested valley. There is a big raised dance floor in the Emerald Room, as well as an anteroom for the bride or other distinguished guests, among other amenities. It's a place that can accommodate up to 250 people yet feels both private and large at the same time. The Vashon Room is one of just a handful of indoor/outdoor event facilities in Seattle. The Vashon Room, with its high ceilings, simple, contemporary elements, and an abundance of natural light, is the ideal canvas for your creative vision to come to life. Immediately outside, there is the Garden Courtyard, a rich, planted setting with a groomed lawn, mature shrubs, and a meandering path—an inviting haven for an outdoor ceremony or reception.
