The Log Cabin is a one-of-a-kind wedding venue in the Presidio National Park. The neighboring Fort Scott Barracks is one of the first instances of the Mission Revival architectural style, and it makes for an excellent photo opportunity. The Monterey Peninsula Country Club welcomes you. It's no secret that the Monterey Peninsula is home to some of the best golf in the world, and MPCC and our two 18-hole courses, the Dunes and Shore Courses, are right in the center of it all. Both have long histories and fantastic layouts set in some of the world's most beautiful golf landscapes. Samuel F. B. Morse founded the Del Monte Properties in 1919. The state of California granted the Monterey Peninsula Country Club a charter in 1925. A month later, the newly constituted club conducted an organizational meeting, at which Samuel F. B. Morse was elected president. The Monterey Peninsula Country Club had 68 original members. The new country club officially opened on July 2, 1926, with about 300 people in attendance. The club properties cover around 400 acres of land in the Monterey Peninsula's central section. After the members purchased the club from Del Monte Properties in 1959, Bob E. Baldock and Jack Neville developed the Shore Course. On the Monterey Peninsula, our pros specialize in group and corporate golf events. Marines' Memorial Club & Hotel is a historic landmark in downtown San Francisco, steps from Union Square, operating since 1946 as one of the first "living memorials" in the United States. Housed in a storied building with gold leaf-accented ceilings, original crystal chandeliers, and grand architectural details across multiple floors, the club honors military service through a unique combination of hotel, theater, and event space. The venue offers over 15,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space across six distinct rooms, accommodating events from intimate 10-person gatherings to receptions of 330 seated guests. The 11th-floor Crystal Ballroom and adjacent Crystal Lounge host weddings, fundraisers, and corporate receptions beneath vaulted hand-painted ceilings with city views. The University Club of San Francisco was established with the goal of providing a gathering place for alumni from various colleges. The Clubhouse's first location was rented at 722 Sutter Street. It was eventually regarded too tiny to accommodate the rising membership, despite its elegance. In the historic earthquake of 1906, the Club's original location at 722 Sutter was demolished, and the majority of the building was devoured by fire. 800 Powell, once the Stanford Mansion's stables, was chosen as the location for the new Clubhouse. The Club's new edifice was designed by renowned architects Walter Bliss and William Faville.
