A nearly 200’ long, clear-top seasonal tent is included in the site fee, with options to add-on connecting tents for those events with larger guest counts; up to 700-seated. The moss-covered colonnades also provide for additional covered space, as well as a tranquil backdrop to any photo. Exclusive access to exhibits are available, based on sunset times. Designed to beautifully coexist with its natural surroundings, it is the only Manhattan venue right on a lake—allowing you to host your wedding, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, or corporate event in spectacular fashion. While you’re here, why not join a 150-year-old tradition and explore the lake in a rented rowboat. Better yet, take a ride in an authentic Venetian gondola. With any luck, your gondolier might even break into song. Facility Rental Fee: The venue does not charge a rental fee, but there is a guest minimum—Saturday evening’s minimum is 165 guests, and for Friday or Sunday the minimum is 125 guests. What’s Included: -Five hour exclusive access to Lake Room, at 4,300 sq. ft space that is located adjacent to the restaurant. The room overlooks the lake on the South side with a 450 sq. ft deck and is surrounded on the West and North side by a 3,300 sqft English Garden. -Cocktail hour with butlered hors d’oeuvres, followed by a four course seated meal with choice of two entrées. -Wine service is provided throughout the meal in addition to a five hour open bar. Originally designed by Calvert Vaux, Tavern on the Green was built as a sheep fold in the 1880’s to house the 700 Southdown sheep that grazed in Central Park’s Sheep Meadow. Robert Moses transformed the building in to a restaurant in 1934, as part of his park renovation. Through the next few decades, Tavern underwent several changes in management, but the iconic view of the park, and the addition of a dance floor, outdoor seating, and lavish menu, kept prominent actors, musicians, and public figures coming back to the restaurant to dine, drink, and celebrate. After a hiatus starting in 2009, the city searched diligently for a new operator to reopen the iconic restaurant in 2013. The city selected current owners and restauranteurs Jim Caiola and David Salama, previously of Philadelphia, who would bring a fresh, welcoming approach to Tavern. The duo renovated the restaurant with inviting décor and wood paneling reminiscent of the original sheep fold, and, with a seasonal menu more reflective of Greater New York, reopened Tavern on the Green in April 2014.

Radio Park is our newest Rockefeller Center venue located on the 9th floor of 50 Rockefeller Plaza. This space features a half-acre garden that sits atop Radio City Music Hall. The space can accommodate up to 300 guests for cocktails or 150 for a seated meal in our interior space. There is existing lounge and outdoor furniture in the space. Catering and additional furniture would be arranged separately through vendors of your choosing, we are happy to provide recommendations.
