The Edson Keith Mansion is a 1916 Italian Renaissance estate listed on the National Register of Historic Places, set within Phillippi Estate Park on the shores of Phillippi Creek in Sarasota, Florida. Designed by the architectural firm Otis & Clark, the two-story home was built for Edson and Nettie Keith and remained in private hands until Sarasota County acquired the property in the late 1980s for park use. The mansion's interior comprises a grand foyer, an expansive living room, twin sunrooms with Palladian windows, a paneled library, and a formal dining room — spaces well suited to intimate ceremonies, seated dinners, and cocktail receptions. The 1927 Historic Venice Train Depot is a National Register-listed Mediterranean Revival landmark in Venice, Florida, designed by the New York architectural firm Walker & Gillette and opened March 27, 1927. Restored by Sarasota County in 2002-2003, the building retains its original yellow stucco exterior, arched arcades, gently sloping red tile roof, and a 400-foot platform that once welcomed famous passenger trains including the Silver Meteor and Orange Blossom Special. Today the Depot serves as home to the Venice Area Historical Society Museum and offers three distinct rental spaces for private events: the Freight Room, the covered north-end platform, and the deck behind the historic 1974 Louisville & Nashville caboose. The lodge has long served the Tampa Bay community as a gathering place for Italian-American heritage and culture, and today opens its doors to weddings, private celebrations, meetings, and community events. The main ballroom spans 6,400 square feet and features a 1,600-square-foot hardwood dance floor and an 8-by-24-foot stage, accommodating up to 400 guests. A 920-square-foot lobby provides a natural cocktail-hour or sign-in space just off the main hall. A separate room adjacent to the kitchen suits smaller gatherings of up to 50 guests. Tampa Theatre is a historic nonprofit movie palace in downtown Tampa, Florida, operating at 711 N. Franklin Street since its opening on October 15, 1926. Designed by renowned atmospheric theatre architect John Eberson for Paramount Pictures, it stands today as the world's most complete and best-preserved example of Eberson's signature atmospheric style — a design that evokes a moonlit Mediterranean courtyard, complete with twinkling stars overhead, old-world statuary, gargoyles, and ornate architectural detail. Eberson himself considered Tampa Theatre his personal favorite among the atmospheric theatres he designed. After facing demolition in 1973, the building was saved through a community-led preservation effort and purchased by the City of Tampa. It reopened in January 1977, was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, and has since become a national model for historic theatre preservation. The venue is managed by the not-for-profit Tampa Theatre, Inc. under a long-term agreement with the City.
