The Wildflower Barn sits on 10 acres in the Texas Hill Country, a property its owners describe as "a nature preserve moonlighting as a wedding venue." Discovered in 2007 as neglected, overgrown acreage by a professional photographer and his wife, the land has since been developed around its native Live Oaks, Elms, and spring wildflowers, with ceremony and reception spaces tucked among the trees. Rock Lake Ranch is a working ranch owned and operated by the Geffert family, which has been in the family for several generations. They are sixth generation Texans who take tremendous pleasure in their ancestors and the history of their home state. This gorgeous property, which was named after Rock Lake Creek, was formerly a camping area for Native Americans who were lured to the spring-fed creek that cut through the exposed sandstone cliffs. The Gefferts' great-grandparents came in the Piedmont area in the mid-1850s, when they were born. During the 1920s, their grandparents, Annie Lee and Johnny Churchwell, were still operating a self-sufficient farmhouse on the acreage they inherited. The Writer's Cottage, a shotgun-style residence built in the early 1900s in Houston's Fourth Ward, was formerly a popular hangout for writers. When it was transported to the ranch in 2005, it had been authentically restored by volunteers and professionals from Historic Houston. The Old Gibbons Creek bridge, a steel-truss bridge built in the early twentieth century and affectionately known as the "Shanghai Bridge" by locals, originally stood a few miles away. It had been abandoned since the 1980s, but it was relocated and rebuilt in 2009, and it now serves as a picturesque gateway to the Waterfront Pavilion and other outdoor spaces at Rock Lake Ranch. There are still remnants of their grandparents' first home on Rock Lake Ranch, including the Allen House and wooden barn area, as well as the old well house and cistern where their grandparents' original farmhouse previously stood. We are a family-owned and operated event venue in Caldwell, Texas, located on Country Club Drive. The Circle C Barn at Copperas Creek is centrally positioned between Houston and Austin. For exclusive access to our venue and lodging, book one day or the entire weekend. We presently have on-site lodging for 14 people, with additional lodging for 18 people available 10 minutes away. The construction of ten on-site cabins is scheduled for late 2021 and 2022. 6,000 square feet of room for up to 250 guests in a rustic, elegant barn location great for your wedding. High beamed ceilings with exquisite yet rustic lighting will be featured in this temperature-controlled arena. With simple gray shiplap and rustic elements, the interior will be gorgeous. The Groomsmen and the Bridal Party each have dressing rooms in the front of the venue, with the Bridal dressing room having direct access to the Ladies Restroom. View the lighted patio space, outdoor entertaining area, grazing Longhorns, and the Lighted Pavillion and Fountain via the wall of windows. Outdoor ceremonies can be held at the Lighted Pavillion. The Circle C Barn at Copperas Creek is situated on a 10-acre property that includes a lovely pond. We are the area's newest wedding and special event location. We have a large venue and patio area that seats 250+ people, as well as a smaller Ceremony Pavillion that seats 100 people. We offer a variety of wonderful packages available, as well as rentals for on-site and nearby lodging for your wedding party and special visitors. Photographs will love it. There are numerous picture options across the site that include unique features such as tractors, buggies, an antique truck, and other stuff that will make your event photographs stand out.
