The Milling Room, located in the center of the Upper West Side, serves seasonal, locally sourced American cuisine in a gorgeous sky-lit dining room and a vibrant tavern-inspired bar. The Milling Room, which opened its doors in November 2014, is located in the building that was originally constructed in 1890 as the elegant Endicott Hotel. When the original hotel opened, it was hailed as "the finest and best appointed in this part of the city" and "the finest and best appointed in this part of the city." The hotel was constructed of Pompeian brick and terracotta and included a glass-roofed Palm Room, which has since been replaced by The Milling Room. It was designed by Edward Angell, who also designed numerous other significant buildings on the Upper West Side, and built by Charles A. Fuller. The structure is located on Columbus Avenue between 81st and 82nd Streets, diagonally across from the American Museum of Natural History. Hotel Belleclaire is a Beaux-Arts landmark hotel on Manhattan's Upper West Side, opened in 1903 and designed by architect Emery Roth in a distinctive blend of Art Nouveau and Secessionist style. The building received a landmark designation from New York City's Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1987 and completed a multimillion-dollar restoration in 2023 that returned it to its original splendor with modern conveniences throughout. Early guests included Mark Twain, Maxim Gorky, and Babe Ruth. For private events and meetings, the hotel offers three venue options: the Allure Lounge, a 1,560-square-foot space with a 17-foot marble bar, crystal chandeliers, and a skylight ceiling for up to 100 guests; the Broadway Room on the 10th floor, suited for 5 to 60 guests with state-of-the-art AV capabilities and natural light; and the Presidential Suite, an intimate setting for up to 10 guests. There are many different types of events that can be held at the Parlour. Our spaces have been created to host and accommodate your needs as much as possible. From a small space for a nice dinner party to a medium-sized space for a medium-sized party, or a larger space for a bridal shower, baby shower, engagement party, bar mitzvah, corporate events, beer pong, and more, we have a space to accommodate your needs. The Coffee Bar, which is also known as the Espresso Bar, is located on the left hand side of our restaurant as you enter. Guests can easily accommodate 50 to 60 people in this pleasant and comfortable space. As you enter our restaurant, the main bar is located on the right-hand side of the building. This space has a dining area as well as a cocktail area that can accommodate up to 90 people. This is primarily for a special mid-size event of great significance. There are private bathrooms, a dining area, and a dancing area in our downstairs lounge, which is located in our basement. With appetizers and cocktails, we can accommodate up to 175 guests. For a sit-down dinner, we can accommodate up to 75 people. On request, we can provide a DJ and/or Karaoke services. In addition to our pool table, which serves our customers on a daily basis, the back room can be transformed into an elegant setting for a small private dinner event for up to 25 guests. As the National Maritime Union's headquarters, the nautically themed structure was originally designed by New Orleans modernist architect Albert Ledner in 1968 to serve as the union's headquarters. In the late 1940s, Ledner worked as an apprentice under the renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, where he developed his own playful style. This fanciful approach to modernism was long dismissed by design purists, but The Maritime is now considered to be part of a wave of modernist architecture that is being viewed in a completely different light than it was previously. It had been open since 2003 but had undergone a transformation to better reflect its enviable location in the heart of Manhattan's fashion, art, food and business districts as well as the city's technology and creative industries. It was the first luxury hotel in the neighborhood, distinguished by its signature porthole windows, white-tiled exterior, and elevated outdoor terraces overlooking Ninth Avenue. The Mariner III is a 122-foot classic motor yacht built in 1926, available for private charter in New York City from late spring through mid-fall and in Palm Beach, Florida during the winter months. Docked at Pier 60, Chelsea Piers during the New York season, the vessel offers panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and the Brooklyn Bridge from its open-air decks and salon. The yacht retains its original Gatsby-era character — varnished teak, gleaming brass fittings, and hand-crafted beveled lead crystal windows — while supporting a range of private events, from wedding ceremonies and rehearsal dinners to corporate gatherings, birthday celebrations, and photo shoots. The Vander Ende-Onderdonk House (circa 1709) is the city's oldest Dutch fieldstone house and is the oldest of its kind in the United States.
