The Evergreen Museum & Library is home to an opulent mansion that boasts Gilded Age Italianate architecture. Our gorgeous gardens can host 170 guests for a perfect outdoor ceremony. Guests can enjoy cocktails and appetizers outside on our terrace before moving to our Carriage House for reception where guests will enjoy dinner under our adjoining hand-crafted tent. Two large arch ways connect the tented portion with the original Carriage House. The rich wood and open space makes for the perfect spot to dance the night away. As part of your rental, you receive access to the original stables attached to the Carriage House. The Evergreen blends romantically elegant grounds with a charmingly rustic Carriage House to provide the perfect backdrop for your event. It is a true oasis hidden in Baltimore City.

Woodend Sanctuary & Mansion is an elegant yet relaxed 40-acre private property located 9 miles from downtown DC. The venue comprises the historic Mansion, a climate-controlled tented terrace (Apr-Nov), and surrounding lawns. The Hemlock Grove is one of the most unique outdoor ceremony areas in the entire DC region. Check out lots of photos and videos on social media at woodendsanctuary. The tented terrace is the backup plan for your ceremony in case of inclement weather and can accommodate all your guests. During the winter months, our historic Mansion is ideal for receptions, holiday parties, corporate events, and so much more. There is no sales tax. BYO alcohol, no corkage. Part of the rental fee for contracts of 8 hours or more is considered a donation to Nature Forward and is tax-deductible. You can hold a wedding or event in this beautiful glass-walled atrium, which is located within the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna, Virginia, surrounded by live plants and flowers.
