A Kate Carlson Event

Kate Carlson is the owner and lead planner of Kate Carlson Events, a Los Angeles-based boutique event planning agency. With a strong foundation in finance and sales, the Colorado native and University of Denver graduate came to Los Angeles via New York City and Philadelphia. She met and married her husband while adjusting to life in California and her job as Director of Marketing and Logistics for Luxury Meetings Summit, and she fell in love with wedding planning. Kate set out to leverage her bargaining and organization talents, as well as her creativity, to improve the wedding planning process for newly engaged couples, after being inspired by her own wedding planner on the important parts of "what not to do." Her clientele became virtually entirely via reference within her first year of business, as she focused on high-end wedding planning, design, and production for clients in Beverly Hills and beyond. She has organized weddings and other multi-day events in Los Angeles, across California, Las Vegas, and Colorado in the previous five years, with average guest counts of 550 or more and budgets ranging from several hundred thousand to one million dollars. Kate is usually in charge of the entire planning process, from engagement parties to multi-event wedding weekends. Kate now works with a wide collection of clients who seek a personalized and unique event planning process as well as one-of-a-kind design, having created a network of highly competent and fairly priced vendors. Kate is a passionate sports lover and life-long learner in her leisure time. She enjoys skiing, traveling, and finding inspiration for the remarkable in the mundane.
