I kind of stumbled into brand photography by mistake. After a few sessions, I was hooked on photography after a friend requested me to take website shots for her impending relaunch. I discovered I was especially skilled at translating abstract ideas into visual images as a result of the convergence of my expertise in public relations, lecturing and education, and online marketing for my own photography business. I started to realize how overrun the internet is with uninteresting and disposable brand imagery, and I realized I could do better. Then I did! And I've had the honor of working with some of the greatest in our field, like Mary Marantz, Ashlyn Carter, and Katelyn James. Despite having a base in the Washington, DC, region, my clients have required that I travel all around the United States and Europe. In addition to photographing, I also have the great distinction of giving speeches on stage and instructing workshops for photographers and small business owners. Many of our industry's top editors have published my work. In addition to being my business partner, my husband, Matt, and I adore working with innovative small businesses! Helping our clients regain their work hours allows them to focus more on the activities that only they can complete while spending less time worrying about pictures.
