Afrik Armando is a well-respected photographer with an editorial style and a playful personality. His core belief is that what qualifies a person as photogenic is their innate voice, look, and style. His approach can be summarized as the boldness of Beyonce’s “Who run the world" merging with the quirkiness of Taylor Swift's “Shake it off". He’s inspired by the use of light by painters such as Caravaggio and lets his couple be his main muse for the art he creates. Afrik Armando's work has been featured in several high-reputed publications including the likes of; Vogue UK, New York Times, Martha Stewart Weddings, JuneBug, Wedding Chicks, Green Wedding Shoes, Modern Luxury Magazine, Philadelphia Wedding Magazine, and more. Afrik has brought joy to countless individuals and photographed memories which will last a lifetime. Afrik Armando studied Fine art at Temple University and has traveled to several countries around the world. From learning visual art at the British museums to exploring different cultures in Africa, he’s been able to hone his curating and storytelling abilities. With a soft romantic and editorial style, Afrik takes joy in understanding the people he photographs. He journalistically photographs weddings filled with laughter, love, beautiful design, flowers, and heartfelt merriment. He derives ultimate fulfillment from being present and documenting those moments which will be passed on to several generations.
