Welcome! Alaura Creative is a fine art, event, and wedding photography studio based in Chicago that tells beautiful stories with timeless imagery. Before opening her own business, owner Alaura Playko spent several years at a wedding and event design house, where she gained an appreciation for the moving parts that create an amazing experience. As an event enthusiast (and former journalist) she carefully captures every unique detail while preserving must-have candid moments, delivering a range of photographs in a beautiful gallery for you and your guests to enjoy! Expect an artful, energetic approach, red lipstick, a love of natural light, and lots of attention to detail. And, because Alaura firmly believes in the power of print, all clients can design & order prints, albums, frames, wall art, and more easily online!

- What is your pricing?
- I offer both packages and by-the-hour pricing, with rates starting at $250/hr. Visit alauracreative.com/investment for more!
- Are engagement shoots included in any of your packages?
- Yes! They are. I also offer pre-wedding sessions, boudoir shoots, "Trash The Dress" sessions, and more, which can be added to any package.
- How long have you been a photographer?
- I've been a photographer for 10 years! I started doing portraits and senior photo gigs as a teenager, and have since done just about every type of photography that exists, including editorial shoots, product photography, photojournalism, and, of course, now weddings and events.
- Can I order albums and other photography items from you?
- Yes! I offer prints, greeting cards, albums, books, frames, canvases, and more all available to design and purchase directly from my online store when your photos are delivered.
- Will you bring an assistant as a supporting photographer?
- I can! I offer a second photographer in some packages, and also offer an hourly rate for two photographers. Please see alauracreative.com/investment for more information.
