Amy & Jordan Photography

Amy and Jordan, a husband-and-wife team, have been working in the photography industry as professionals and instructors for more than a decade. They went from being elementary school teachers to making six figures per year as a full-time wedding and portrait photographer without ever having received any kind of formal training in photography. Amy and Jordan are experts at simplifying complex ideas while maintaining an enjoyable learning environment; as a result, Rangefinder Magazine has recognized them as two of the "Top 10 Educators to Watch." Over 30,000 people are currently enrolled in one or more of their signature online photography courses. When Amy and Jordan are not working as educators, they can be found at their home in Nashville, Tennessee, playing their favorite (and most important) role: that of parents to their children, Beckett, 4, and Emily (2). Hello There, Future Bride of AJ! We go by the names of Amy and Jordan. We first met at our high school homecoming dance and have been inseparable ever since. During our time in college, we gained a significant amount of weight by binge-watching episodes of Gilmore Girls (on DVD!) and eating our weight in cookie butter and ice cream, both of which are habits that we have yet to break. After receiving our degrees (and before Pinterest even existed, yikes! ), we got married and immediately began working as elementary school teachers in classrooms that were adjacent to one another. Our nights and weekends were spent daydreaming about becoming professional wedding photographers while we commuted to work in a carpool, covered recess duty, and graded students' math tests during the week. We finally took the plunge in 2013, and we haven't looked back since. Since then, the two of us have worked together to photograph over one hundred weddings, one of which was featured in People magazine. To this day, we only work with a select group of exceptionally unique brides and grooms each year. Because we believe that every couple is deserving of photos that they will cherish for the rest of their lives as well as an experience of world-class quality that they will never forget, we spend the rest of our time teaching other photographers how to do what we do.
