Ashdown Events

Ashdown Events is born of the magic of the English woods and countryside and a love of all things eclectic, vintage and personal. The company has been in the works for many years but officially started operating as such in August 2021. Owner and Wedding Planner & Designer, Kari LaBomme, has been working in theatre production since before the age of 18 and has used these skills over the years to plan both her own parties, and the parties and weddings of friends. In 2013, she joined the team under the inimitable Pat Frey of Pat Frey Designs and begin planning and designing weddings and events professionally. With Pat Frey Designs, she has worked internationally from England to the Caribbean and all over the US (including Hawai'i and Puerto Rico) putting on everything from 1,000 guest charity events to intimate weddings and exclusive retreats. As Pat is also a Master florist, Kari also learned all the basics of event florals and became quite a floral artist herself. Now Kari has launched on her own to help couples and families bring their stories to life through their family events. Baby and Bridal showers, Retirement or Anniversary parties, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, Birthdays, and (of course) Weddings. Kari prides herself on being able to take on any style but if you are looking for something a little magical, that is her favorite to execute. And the more detailed, the better.
