KATIE RAY Whether it is fashion, interiors or events, I have always had a passion for design and styling. After studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, I made my way back to California and began my career as an event planner. Over the past several years I have planned, designed and coordinated hundreds of weddings, corporate and social events. I believe your event should be stress free and something to celebrate, and I will be there every step of the way to ensure a beautifully designed and well executed event. DESIGN 1. CONCEPT BOARD I learn about your sense of style, come up with a design concept for your event, and create a cohesive vision for you. This includes ceremony, cocktail hour and reception decor, rentals, lighting, floral, and unique event ideas. 2.SPACE PLANNING I will create a layout of the property and develop new ways to experience the space. Multiple layouts are drawn and discussed to make the event aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. 3. ON SITE DESIGN We will review the proposed concept board and layouts together at an on site meeting. At the venue, we will finalize the design and space planning documents and make any necessary revisions. 4. RENTAL SELECTION Once the design has been approved, I will work to source rentals in line with the design and at the best price possible. I will assist you in rental company referrals, selecting rentals, creating quotes, and adjusting orders throughout the planning process.
