Pastry Chef Aya Fukai is responsible for the exquisite creations offered at Aya Pastry, which can be found in Chicago's West Town neighborhood. Aya Pastry focuses on highlighting the finest seasonal ingredients. In addition to their signature breads, celebratory cakes, whimsical sweets, and breakfast pastries, Aya Pastry is known for their inventive take on their breads. Our goal is to make people happy by providing them with mouthwatering treats that they can't get enough of. We would be over the moon if we could serve you food that was worthy of a Michelin star. In 2016, Aya was named the National Pastry Chef of the Year by Eater. In 2017, she was nominated for the James Beard Award for Outstanding Pastry Chef, and in 2018, she was named the Pastry Chef of the Year by the Chicago Tribune. The bakery was honored with the title of "Best New Baked Good Empire" at the 2021 Eater Awards.
