ABOUT US I am humbled each and every time someone tells me they have chosen me to document their wedding. I am so honored to be trusted to capture these moments. I aim to photograph what is real about the day, intervening rarely and allowing my couples to just be themselves and capturing who they really are. Along the way have met some amazing people I am lucky enough to call my friends. Photographing weddings, for me, has been one of the most rewarding and creative outlets I could have ever found. The sheer pressure of responsibility to capture all of these once in a lifetime moments, the extreme pace of the day, and trying to keep cool throughout was eye opening for me when I started in 2003. I gained a huge amount of respect for the art and craft of documenting weddings, and the honor I had of capturing these moments & their families for my clients. I now thrive on what once seemed to be daunting task and love documenting these amazing days. While photography is my second career choice (I grew up in the wild west of the internet days coding and producing websites for studios and large firms) it has always been my first love. I’ve been shooting since I was a kid and always made homemade darkrooms in closets or laundry rooms. I still kind of miss the smell of the chemicals. I met Nate, my husband, in the Santa Monica College darkroom. We got married and started B&G Photography in 2003. We had Lucas is 2008 and need terabytes of storage for the amount of photographs we take of him. His little brother Alex came along in 2016 and we're all in love. Nate retired from B&G (I still love to say I fired him!) and moved on to developing software, and I have been a one-woman photography show since 2013. I couldn’t be more thrilled to have been published in magazines and inspirational blogs such as Grace Ormonde, The Knot, US Weekly, SouthAsian Bride, Style Me Pretty and many more. By the will of my clients I have won The Knot’s Best of Weddings for 2012 through 2016. I am a certified vendor with Here Comes the Bride, and honored to be part of Fearless Photographers, ISPWP and Style Me Pretty’s Little Black Book. Thank you for taking the time to read about me!
