I've always had a background in floral design. Seriously… Since I was a little child, I've spent time in flower stores, a plant nursery, and my family's gardens (and even before). My mother likes to tell the famed story of how she worked as a flower designer on Mother's Day at the age of eight months pregnant with me. I am really proud of my native talent, which has been passed down through the generations of plant farmers, educators, designers, and retailers. Growing up in Starkville, Mississippi, I felt compelled to pursue a career in the floral industry, so selecting a college was an easy choice. I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Floral Management from Mississippi State University. In addition to providing me with a degree, the Flower Management program also enabled me to build a lifelong network of friends and colleagues and gain practical experience in the floral industry. When a friend requested me to plan her wedding in 2016, that's when I started my company in Bay Saint Louis. I won't lie—TERRIFYING it's to launch your own company. Yes, there were hardships and apprehensions, but when I made the first bridal bouquet for BCFD, it was very magical. It was worth all the trouble and effort! Every bouquet, arrangement, and event I create makes me feel so satisfied. I have more than ten years of expertise in event and retail management, floral design, and customer service. Nevertheless, I'm constantly seeking new methods to develop as a designer and company owner. You need to be up to date with trends in the flower industry. I'm excited to be there for you during all of the important occasions in your life.
