Boy meets Girl They are in love. They develop a bond based on shared passions for food, art, travel, family, and the emotional attachment to goods passed down through generations. Josh, an architectural photographer, and Diana, a food/prop stylist, have developed a shared aesthetic that pervades practically every part of their lives together. Before Diana and Josh knew they wanted to create a business together, the Casa de Perrin line grew out of their wedding planning. This meant they spent most weekends shopping at flea markets, estate auctions, and antique shops seeking mismatched antique silver cutlery for their 5-course dinner reception. In order to give fresh meaning and purpose to these ancestral objects, they gathered vintage rugs from Josh's travels and time spent in Eastern Europe. Their honeymoon (exploring the California coast in a 1967 red VW Camperbus) ended two weeks later with the identical question from every vendor: “Would you be interested in selling it to us?” That's when they decided to launch an event rental company based on their particular aesthetics, what was missing in the market, and what led them to start collecting these pieces in the first place, on a whim. It was an easy decision to name their new company. With the words “La Casa de Perrin” engraved on the top, Josh's parents were married in 1970. Following his childhood use, they were passed down to Josh, and became the dishes Josh and Diana used every day after moving in. Just like the heirloom “House of Perrin” dishes Diana and Josh had grown to appreciate over the years. The years that followed their wedding would solidify their friendship and love for what they do. Home to the country's largest premium tabletop curation and design firm, Casa de Perrin, is headquartered in Los Angeles. In addition to the finest vintage china, flatware, and glassware, Diana and Josh have commissioned the finest and most distinctive tabletop adornments, both locally and internationally.
