About Charlotte Fête
Founded in 2016
Charlotte Fête was founded by Chelsey Sanderson in 2016, on her 25th birthday, as a bold leap into the world of event planning. Her journey in the industry began at the ground level, working as an unpaid intern and floral assistant while attending Queens University of Charlotte. Before launching Charlotte Fête, Chelsey was the Special Events Manager at the Mint Museum locations, where she oversaw more than 300 events in under two years (including 70+ weddings). Her deep industry experience, paired with a meticulous approach to event production, set the foundation for the elevated, highly curated celebrations that she is known for today. A trained designer, Chelsey refined her craft under the guidance of renowned event designer Steve Moore of Sinclair & Moore. Her design philosophy is rooted in originality, steering away from social media trends in favor of one-of-a-kind celebrations that feel personal, intentional, and entirely bespoke. With over a decade of experience spanning weddings, social, and corporate events, Chelsey has built Charlotte Fête into a sought-after brand recognized for its refined aesthetic, seamless execution, and bold, visionary concepts. Whether crafting an intimate gathering or a large-scale affair, Chelsey’s passion lies in creating unforgettable experiences that reflect the uniqueness and vision of every client.

FAQs 5
- What event planning services do you offer?
- I offer full-service event planning (which includes logistics, design and execution). Depending on the scope of your project, I may be able to offer logistics-only, design-only, or execution-only packages. I can also offer hourly consultation or virtual planning/design packages! :)
- What venues have you worked at before?
- I have experience with many of the major, popular venues in the greater Charlotte area. This includes (but is not limited to) The Mint Museum locations, Foundation for the Carolinas, The Duke Mansion, Ballantyne Country Club, Quail Hollow Club, Founder's Hall, & The VUE Sky Lounge, amongst others.
- How many years have you been in business?
- I dreamed of becoming a wedding planner when I attended my first wedding at age 16. From that point, I took any opportunity that came to me, as it relates to event planning. At the age of 31, I can look back and say that for half of my life, I have been planning events in some fashion!
- Do you offer day-of wedding coordination?
- I have always been a firm believer that "day-of" wedding planning doesn't truly exist... especially in my world! I like to be as involved as possible to ensure that I have done my job to the best of my ability. Although I don't offer "day-of", I have planned full weddings in 2 weeks and 8 weeks!
- How many people from your team will be on-site during my event?
- At least one Lead Planner is on site for each event that I plan. Typically, weddings have at least 1-3 additional Assistant Planners on site as well. The majority of my events will have 1 Lead and 1 Assistant. Clients can request additional on-site planners to add on to their package, if they wish!
