Chef Duff Goldman turned to his talents as a classically educated pastry chef and metal craftsman when his ambition of slaughtering on the guitar in a rock band didn't pay the bills, and launched Charm City Cakes in Baltimore, MD in 2002. Cakes with music, smoke, motorized moving components, life-sized baby elephant cakes—no cake was too outlandish for Duff and his intrepid team of cake designers to conquer. Charm City Cakes quickly gained the attention of the Food Network, which gave birth to the hit reality cake decorating show Ace of Cakes. For almost two decades, our Baltimore bakery has had the pleasure of fulfilling our wonderful clients' cake fantasies! Our cakes have brought us all over the world, from Costa Rica to President Barack Obama's 2008 Inauguration, from Hollywood premieres to collaborating with groups like Share Our Strength to help battle hunger.
