DJ Kara

Kara has had a burning passion for music since she was a child. She spent her teenage years devoted to television, watching back-to-back music videos on MTV and playing guitar and keyboard covers of her favorite songs; it was a foregone conclusion that she would work in the music industry in some manner. After earning a bachelor's degree in business administration from Purdue University's Krannert School of Management, Kara traveled to Los Angeles with the intention of pursuing a career in artist management, but approximately a year after arriving in the west coast city, she found herself trying her hand at DJing. Kara has a natural talent for the craft, and her client list includes HBO, Disney, Nike, and Amazon, to name a few. DJ Kara is no longer looking back! Kara may be found DJing at a variety of events, including weddings, business events, and private parties, while also staying in shape. She continues to work on honing her abilities, expanding her agency, collaborating with amazing individuals, and thoroughly loving the ride. In the last eight years, I've performed at over 700 events in cities such as Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Seattle. Corporate conferences, corporate parties, VIP parties, birthday parties, galas, fashion shows, grand openings, and other events fall under this category. In the same way that I put a lot of thought into wedding music, I put a lot of thought into song selection and music choices to create the proper ambiance. For events, I acquire a sense of the client's musical preferences and what would work best at that specific event.
